Agreed. His house isn't far from Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill, where the mass shooting was in 2018. I know this because he spoke about it publicly at the time, which surprised me. I thought he would be more guarded about even letting people know what part of town he lived in.

Cowher wasn't particularly guarded about what area he lived in, either, but that was different. He grew up in Pittsburgh, which I imagine brings a different comfort level. He was in Fox Chapel for years. I saw him out with his family a few times. I thought it was great that people left them alone, respecting his time with his daughters.

 

Never will understand the big house thing especially for small families. It is just the wife and I now. We are not rich but we sure the hell ain't hurting. We live well below our means. 1000 square feet is plenty for 2 adults. Could we be in a bigger richer house, yes. Do we want that hassle of taking care of it, hell no. I love no yard work and little maintenance. I figured I would spend a ton of time on Golf and get better. Well, the ton of time worked out great but stupid aging is hurting the old Golf game

 

The only people that are overpaid are government employees. They produce nothing and their salaries come from money confiscated from the tax payer who have no choice in the matter.

I have 72 acres to maintain with gardens galore and that is my hobby I don’t play golf and for whatever reason I can’t find a mistress

Hiking and tractor trails room for friends dogs to run decent size inground pool outdoor fireplace and bonfire pit 2 tractors fishing pond

 

How dare entities that provide services for us require money from us! Come on. No politics.

that his net worth is far north of 30 mill printed in article.

Not really. My SIL and her husband sold out here in Santee a couple years ago and bought a 3 br. 2 ba. house with a casita on an acre with cash from their equity. With plenty left over. Brand new. In the AZ mountains.

 

I spent time in Bill Cowhers house in Raleigh, NC a few times. He and his wife Kaye (RIP) were really cool and down to earth. The house was utterly amazing.

One thing that stood out to me though was, he had no shrine to himself. I've been in several athletes homes, and they usually have a room dedicated to their accomplishments. The only display he had was a mini Lombardi on a fireplace mantle, and it was sitting next to several awards his daughters won playing basketball. Thought that was low key cool.
