    Cool fact.

Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty was the starting QB at Louisiana Tech. Know who his back up was?

Terry Bradshaw. Phil turned down playing in the NFL.

Did Phil turn down the NFL, or did the NFL turn down Phil?

Methinks more than likely its the latter.

I am from the south and I know a lot of people who love it, but I tried to watch it once and I don't get it. It seems to be show about nothing with rednecks in it.

Actually, it's the former. He basically got tired of football and decided to quit - handing the job to Bradshaw.

Gotta love the DD guys. Phill and the boys think the term Red Neck came from down south, actually it came from closer to home than many think. The coal miners in West Virginia fought the large coal companies for the right to unionize, miners from the northern part of Wva who were already unionized marched down into southern Wva and actually fought the coal company guards and thughs in the second largest war fought on US soil only after the Civil War called the Battle of Blair Mountin or Matewan. The miners wore red bandanas around their necks to identify themselves from the coal company guards. This is where the term Red Neck came from. Your history lesson for the day, your all excused.

I would say the term Redneck predated the WVA coal miners, http://therednecklibrarian.weebly.com/

This is where I was taught the term "redneck" came from. I was always told it was from farmers with sunburn on the backs of their necks.
