if you could sign lewis wallace and sanders by releasing harrison and troy would you do it? i dont know the numbers or anything. a couple of us were just talking about all the decisions that have to be made. i personally would hate to see it happen but it would help the team

well Harrison is probably gone. Troy will be back, but i think you could possibly replace Troy leaving with Hampton, Kielsel, and Foote. im also not sure how the numbers work out, but Lewis, Wallace and Sanders are all young and hopefully will be a big part in the Steelers getting back to a super bowl. i dont think Troy or Harrison are able to be a big part anymore.

Keisel is one of my all time favorite Steelers, but i would rather see Hayward play all season and see what they have than to see Keisel playing at a much lower level than we are used to seeing from him.

they need to get more ppressure from their front 3. Keisel Hampton and Hood didnt do a very good job of that and another year on the careers of Hamton and Keisel wont mean it will be better next year.

im willing to give Hood a pass with hopes that if has 2 young guys to help him he will look better.

im hoping we see Hayward, McClendon and Hood as the starters.

I think Harrison will be back next year with a pay cut. If his knee is healthy enough I would gladly except him back.

A few weeks ago I would have reluctantly agreed with you. But Troy showed in the last game or two that he was heading back to form. I think we have another season with him. You keep him out on the field, if anything, for his reputation. An extra factor to worry the QB is always a bonus, unless he's actually damaging the team.

Everything else - I agree with. I wonder if we see Hampton back next year (though I would be frustrated if we had to spend another top pick on the d-line).

You keep Troy before you even think about those other guys.

Why are we trying to keep Wallace again?

    No. Seriously.

they need to find a way to keep lewis. they need to draft two safeties. JH and troy need fixed now so they can be here next year. we are better with them then without them healthy.

the original question was would you keep them in favor of troy and harrison. I think imo, we are better with lewis, wallace, and sanders. I dont know we may be able to keep all of them if they take a pay cut. I think i read somewhere that james and troy are both due to make close to 10 million each this yr. after this year they arent worth half of that. I am not a wallace fan but at least he demands attention. do we have another reciever who can command a double team?

Wallace is one leg injury away from being worthless. If he loses just a little speed he's average speed and a good Canadian Football league base pay guy.

I think you try to keep Lewis and Wallace, for the right price. I think Wallace still has a lot to learn and potential and after this year hopefully will get back on track. I think it would be a mistake to let him go, unless he gets some really crazy contract.
