The Steelers and Bell could have been good together. It's too bad the way it worked out.
Money always seems to get in the way

Talk about a complete turn around. I thought "Killer B's" would get us #7 for sure. Ended up being more an embarrassment :(

Not sure his age but Tomlin could use him like Cowher used "Slash". He could run a little, rap to entertain the bench guys and if we are getting an ass kicking he could challenge them to a boxing match. He also could unload some of that weed he got popped with to the fans.

How many pro bowls between Ben, AB, and Bell, not to mention Bryant who was pro bowl worthy but was overshadowed by AB, then we had the O line led by Pouncey and DD and a good defense and so little to show for it…

Because our defense became swiss cheese when it counted. We bought all the shiny toys for Ben and never invested heavily in the two lines. Water under the bridge but Bell being the immature guy who probably listened to his agent and other bad advice turned down a great contract from the Steelers. Total shame.

And this is despite the steelers use 8 first round pick at one point on defense(it was 5 in a row back in 2017) and the defense were still garbage in big game

If he would've created an account here, he would've known that he was trippin.

If you want to see where the Steelers culture took a nosedive, I think you can look at the Bell and Brown endings. The team seemed to be different when they were doing all of their complaining and prima donna bs. I would not be surprised if they caused a lot of behind the scenes problems that carried over into the Steelers culture in the locker room.

People did try to tell Bell not to do what he did. He chose to lie to his teammates and bail on them. Screw that guy.

I wonder if Tomlin brought him in to bestow Naj with some knowledge?

Lev had amazing vision and feel as a RB.

There's not much Tomlin could have done about Bell. That was simply a contract issue. The stuff with many of the other WR's though, Tomlin needed to put a stop to it right away. He allowed it to fester and now it seems like every WR we draft is a head case. Even Juju, all the social media nonsense and dancing on logos, that should have been stopped immediately. Tomlin only stopped it once it become an issue in the media. Too late at that point. There's lots of coaches around the league that would not tolerate the stuff that is happening in our locker room, and many of them are very successful coaches.

I was one on here touting how he's not acknowledging the oline for a big part of his success here. With that said, I didn't think he'd fall off the map once he left.

He was special to watch behind the Oline. They worked some magic. He was model with his vision followed by his patience, acceleration, and power. You don't see people run like he did.

Dodged a bullet. Running backs should never get a 2nd contract. They are a consumable commodity. Draft them, use them, move on to the next.
