For those who have Facebook you know that it has a daily memory feature where you can pull up posts from the same date last year, three years ago, five years ago, etc. To follow is my post from five years ago today, lol.

There you go Pittsburgh Steelers. Absolutely serves you right to have to go to NOLA and win after losing three straight games you should have won, including a pathetic loss to the Raiders. Losing games to inferior opponents will be Mike Tomlin’s sad legacy. Congrats to the Ravens who will, in all likelihood, win the AFC North after this big win tonight.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I quit Facebook in early 2018. I don't miss it one bit. Social media is a cancer of modern society.

It's been Deja Vu since the loss to Broncos/Tebow.

Also... I am glad I grew up in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's. No internet, no smart phones, no social media. Good times.

This was exactly the time where I was done with Tomlin once and for all. Going 0-fer in a 3 game stretch vs. the AFC West to turn a potential #1 seed into a non playoff year. Absolute travesty.

This season reminds of the 2009 Steelers in which the team was 6-2 and in first place in the division. They then inexplicably lost 5 in a row, 3 of them were to the 3-7 Chiefs, the 3-8 Raiders and the 2-10 Browns. This was Tomlin's "unleash hell" season.

Yeah... remember 09 like it was yesterday. From mid November to late December was miserable. Popcorn unleashed hell alright.... unleashed hell on the fans.

Steelers did have a great game vs. Rodgers and Packers. Wallace catching the TD at the end was awesome. Too bad XLV didn't end that way. :frown:

I was just having that conversation today with a young man I work with. I told him I remembered the days we’d tune it at 12:30 on Sunday afternoon to watch the pre-game, then watch the game, then we’d have to wait until the next week to do it again. Oh, we would catch Cosell’s halftime highlights on MNF. I also remember skipping class when I was in college to go to my brothers to watch the NFL draft on ESPN on a random Tuesday. And I remember calling the local southern gospel radio station to see if they had any news about the Steelers number one draft pick. They did…it was John Rienstra, lol. Today with non-stop coverage on NFLN and ESPN we’ve made mega celebrities out of these guys and I’m not so sure that’s a good thing. 24-7 NFL and having everything available with a click of the mouse has somehow made it less desirable. Back in the day, we were thirsty for it. Now, we’re so full of it we’re bloated to the point of :puking:.

Never forget we got back from a 3 week vacation and when a few friends asked where I was they actually thought I was lying because it was not on Facebook or as I call it "Lamb". Look at me book.

Remind me again who threw that bonehead interception against Denver at the end of the game when they had a chance to win?

It was Ben of course....The other 2 games Ben had been great but it was not enough.Tomlin had left Ben on the bench for way too long against the raiders!:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Please… the fact that we needed a last minute touchdown to tie the game up vs. a team that finished 6-10 speaks to a total team failure. A total team failure falls on the head coach first and foremost. But still, that game was the least egregious of the 3.

Fans act like the Steelers were some dominant team, and just going to blow teams out . Conner fumbled untouched, and the TE fumbled the ball at goal line for a touchback IIRC.
