I'd be all for it. But has anything changed since Cowher offered it to him that would make him now want to take a shot at it. I'm sure the time commitment element has not changed.

When it comes to Offensive line coach, I think we should look at Joe D'Alessandris.

I'd be all for it as well and actually I think I read another article somwhere, maybe the PPG, that stated Tunch's personal situation has changed now versus when he was offered the job back in the Cowher days. Supposedly if called upon he would now be able to dedicate the time needed for the job.

I am assuming he was fired. When the HC goes, typically so goes the staff.

I think the Bills explicitly fired the entire staff.

    Great article.

Why not just have him work with the team on payroll without an official title? He's around the team enough now as it is. He can drop by and share some martial arts/blocking techniques with the guys from time to time.

And how much more of a time demand would being an offensive line coach be versus being the team's color guy? I'm sure he already watches hours of film in preparation for the broadcasts. He travels to all of the road games. Heck, he probably even sits in on team meetings at times.

Now we're talking. Possiblely one of the best line coaches we could get. Great communicater also helps. Hell I like to see him as head coach! :hmmm:

selfishly, I hope he doesn't coach the Steelers, I enjoy him and Wolfe as an radio analyst too much.

And Honestly who knows if he doesn't already bestow knowledge on these guys already since he is around the team a lot during the year.....

They talked about this on 93.7 last week.
They said, yes. His kids are grown and his wife passed away last year. Bouchette speculated that he could be the guy and Cook said that EB wouldn't say that publicly without first running it by Tunch.

I think that would be a great move. I know most ex players don't make for good coaching material but Tunch has already spent a good bit of his life over the years teaching and coaching OL play including traveling as far off as Turkey to teach young men how to play. He's definitely passionate about the game and as one of the other posters mentioned he seems to be a very good communicator. He'd be a great fit for our young and developing OL.

Agreed. Though in reality, we could have Vince Lombardi coaching the line - if we can't keep a consistent line up, free from injury, then they will struggle.
