I think, in this case, Glazer's like an agent - floating something out there to see if there is interest. On the same Ramon Foster show Ramon speculated that Tomlin might want to get away from the grind and go into TV.

Here is a link to the Glazer part:

Wasn't Tepper among the minority ownership that tried to get Tomlin fired a few years ago?

I don't think there's a trade market for Tomlin. He may get hired again as poor coaches get recycled all the time in this league but I don't think anyone is gonna spend serious draft capital to get him.

Totally agree. I'm doubtful Rooney fires him, but I'm certain that Tomlin is resigning. He lost it and has no answers.

I can't see it. Tomlin's not one for questioning himself.

I saw the same thing yesterday, as well...he kept looking up at the scoreboard, like he was hoping for a sign from above as to what to do...he has lost whatever he had to make a team function, over the last couple of years...him admitting that the team was undisciplined...in game 15 is telling. The rest of us saw it when Gunner tight roped a kick off. Team has been undisciplined for years...time has come for him to go at seasons end

He's been questioning himself. I'll paraphrase what he's said after most of these games, 'it's been JV football and that starts with me. I don't have the answers because if I did, we wouldn't be playing like this. There's going to be changes, significant changes.'

Since he's started saying this after each loss, he's moved Canada to the sideline and eventually fired Canada, and bench Chux. Not many changes can be made to salvage this, let alone significant changes. His mannerisms, facial expressions damn near everything is of a man that's mentally done.

This is a coach that coaches or speaks as if he has zero chance of being fired. Never one to be afraid to say he is responsible for this or that and acknowledging or embracing whatever is necessary or listed in his memorized coach speak 101 paperback media chapter. But all of this is known and historical so will anything really get done before next season? I doubt it. JMO>

Sadly enough, I'd say they are right. There won't be any HC change. Everyone outside of Pittsburgh thinks that a new OC will fix everything. A new OC will fix the OL, Players playing half @ssed.

I will stay away from the defensive side of the ball, because we simply don't know what we have on defense with all the injuries. If fully healthy and a few key positions a priority in the draft and free agency. I truly believe we could be at the top...ESPECIALLY if we have an offense that can keep them off the field for more then 15 minutes of the game.

He's made a ton of money already. He's younger than I am. I'd ride off into the sunset and not look back.

But there's also a ton of TV money to be made...

Exactly what I was thinking earlier. I heard there was a strong push by minority ownership to let Tomlin go several years ago, I think after we were beaten by the Tim Tebow led Broncos. They were right, it should have happened then given that this team coached by Tomlin has done absolutely NOTHING since then. How much farther along would we be today if minority ownership had held the smug and arrogant Rooney’s feet to the fire then?!

The talking heads say he will be signed in 5 minutes so great lets score a #1 pick and maybe another pick as well. It would be like Xmas. Yes it could get worse but at least we can end this charade and move on and perhaps we get the next great coach. If not what's the difference we make a mistake but hopefully not 17 years before it gets rectified.

That's because he can make another $12.5 million or something close to that, nobody walks away from that willingly!!

I'm not sure about Washington's new ownership, but Tepper has been flailing in Carolina. Tomlin would offer the stability the Panthers desperately need. The real question is what kind of relationship, if any, did they have when Tepper owned part of the Steelers.

I'm not sure if that rumor is even true or if Tepper was part of it.

God I hope so! He will never lead this organization to a Super Bowl. He only has the one ring because Coach Cowher give him an all star organization, maybe even better than the 70’s teams and only won 1 SB with that group. He screwed the pooch with that team and after Big Ben quit carrying his ass the organization keeps going downhill and I was tortured through some bad seasons in the 80’s and 90’s and I don’t want to go back there in those dark years and Tomlin is on that path. Now we just play to stay at 500 each year so The media can keep hollering he has never had a losing season! Yea well he will never have another championship ring neither so what do you want as a steeler fan?

Could you elaborate on what you mean with that? I didn't catch much of the stuff that happened after the game. Are you talking about the Steelers organization not acknowledging him in their social media, or are you referring to something else? It sounds like it could be kind of a big deal either way.

IF it was true, minority ownership was right and the majority owner was wrong. The Steelers performance with HCMT since then and the current state of the franchise has borne that out.

I am of the belief that MT has made over 80 million in wages not counting
any bonuses in his Steeler career. I think he will be ok if the Steelers
    fire him.
