Steelers Obese Punter also sucks

The fat man is awful. He was awful again tonight. I dont care he hits a beauty every once in a while, he consistently sucks.

See, I'm ok with that second part. Except that on the first day of OTA's next season, they should tell him "Matt Canada called, he wants his playbook back" and throw it in the dumpster. Tell him to start with a clean slate and build a valid gameplan. Right now, we're still seeing the Canada effect - poorly-designed plays that are very predictable, even to the armchair QBs out here and are easy to adjust for opponents at the half.

 

He is terrible but he also must has a tired leg....

 

How tired can you get when you kick 20 yard punts? I do that 15 times per day when I go to the park with my son.

 

Tomlin chooses not to kick a 57 yard field goal in a dome only to allow his lousy punter to kick a ball 22 yards! I'm nearly 60 years old and I can kick a ball over 20 yards! This team is a joke on all phases!!! This coaching staff needs to go and needs to go right now!!

 

Harvin is not only the worst punter in the league but the worst NFL punter that I have seen in a couple of decades.

 

You couldn't just start this thread by just saying he sucks. You had to add his waistline, literally and figuratively, lol

 

How come most punters are thinner? Maybe there is a disadvantage to his weight. Probably not ideal for a kicker

He's sucked all 3 years, no signs of improvement. I really feel that Harvin and the team as a whole is just a reflection of Tomlin's "coaching"

Mitch Berger didn't have the leg that Harvin does but you knew every punt was going to be a subpar 38 yards. Berger didn't kill us with 22 yard and 19 yard punts like Harvin does. Tomlin keeps Harvin around because once or twice a year he will blast a 70 yarder that will be downed at the one yard line. Tomlin ignores all of the 25 yard shanks in-between.

 

That 22yd punt came on 4th-and-14 at the IND 39yd line. You want him to just boom one for a touchback, net 19yds?

 

He could have pinned them inside the 10 though.

That should have been the goal at least.

Faulkner has NEVER called plays. I don't understand why he was named interim offensive coordinator.

Not saying Sullivan would have been any better but at least he can call plays.

Cleveland has a rookie punter. He averages 50 yards and boomed a 70 yarder the other day. Maybe that is not his average for the year, but it was in that game. It seems like it wouldn't be that difficult to assess this during training camp.
