Steelers are 1-3 since firing Matt Canada

Ironic isn't it.

 

This is still the Matt Canada offense,just a different play caller...We need a entire new offense and new playbook next year...Like a NFL offense would be a start for the steelers...

 

A more apt analogy would be, the Steelers are 0-3 since Pickett went down.

 

Time to move the stethoscope and identify the real problem.

 

As @Steelersfan43 noted, it is next to impossible to basically change every single detail within the Offensive Game Plan this late into the season. There is a reason that mini camps and OTAs exists; never mind Training Camps. However, that alone is not my current biggest issue.


The overall lack of discipline and leadership are two areas I have FAR GREATER concern, if not grave fear, about. Merely getting an OC is just the first step in a long series of steps.

 

Are they 0-3 because KP went out or 0-3 because Mitch came in?

 

Why not both?!


Neither are mutually exclusive anyways given how this season has played out.

Hey guy, I noticed you disagreed with a statement in the GDT. No biggie but I am just giving you a heads up. When you see a message typed in green that is that poster being sarcastic. Reason I'm telling you is so you don't run into the trouble I had a few years back. THIS is on Tomlin (and Rooney) too. As has been stated AD NAUSEAM, no plan for transition from MC and that decision SHOULD have been done in January

kenny stinks too - this TEAM was a ticking time bomb, READY to implode. A defense that was EXHAUSTED and an offense that can't get out of its own way, REGARDLESS of who is QB.

 

Canada's offense is still here.
If anything, it is a glaring example of why they MUST go outside and hire the OC.
1-3 doesn't justify anything other than his offense was trash and the team isn't good.

 

The thing is a lot of the people that wanted Canada fired also wanted Arians fired, Haley fired, Lebeau fired … one would think eventually they would have a moment of clarity

 

I could see Canada... Even I tried to justify his existence here.

I don't think highly of Mitch, I really don't, but the guy had a somewhat decent career in Chicago. Why was he able to have some success there but he's among the worst QB in the league when he comes here? Has he just forgotten how to play, or is there something bigger at play for us?

Mitch isn't a starting QB, but based on what he's done in the past, he should be a pretty good backup. So either he's forgotten how to play football, or there's something culturally wrong with our team that is making it hard on our QB's, Pickett included.

 

We were doomed. We are doomed. We will continue to be doomed with Popcorn as HC.

 

That happened to me once, as well. It's a good lesson to learn - some of the folks here have a pretty dry sense of humor

 

Pickett is far from a starting QB on any team with a O line that is in front of him. Now I will say this he holds in to the ball to long so that is a problem also.

 

Here is my moment of clarity. There is no leadership on this team. The entire coaching staff needs to go. We desperately need to upgrade our QB state. We need an OC that understands today's game in the NFL. Canada had to go. The next steps are up to the Rooneys. Surely you have an opinion on what the team needs to do. This dumpster fire is on the coaches and the players. So what would you do? I Await you answer
