Pretty crazy line based on how the Steelers looked the last two games and the fact that Mitch is QB. I realize the Colts are not world beaters and that Jonathan Taylor is out but man that line seems fishy. In Indy I would figure them to at least be 4-5 point favorites. TOMLIN going to pull his 9-8 crap again it feels like.

I told my betting friends and they jumped all over Indy. To them it is close to a sure thing. I too feel this is a "trap game" but for Indy. I think we are coming out strong and actually have a chance to win.

of course it is possible. Mitch CAN light it up. But i have no confidence still in our playbook and OC to put a 4Q plan together. Indy will load the box and challenge our passing game to beat them. Don't think we know what we are doing in that dep't.

and D has SUCKED for 2 straight weeks. they are TIRED. worn out.

They certainly **** the bed against the last two games, but they had three extra days to recover and prepare. Neither team has been great this season, so the close line seems appropriate.

The defense looked great early against the Cardinals. The only reason the Cardinals had any points before that 99-yard drive was the bonehead play by Roberts, which wasn't a matter of being tired. It was an aggressive thumper doing what he does. They fell apart when Roberts got hurt simply because that was just one injury too many.

The entire team didn't show up for the first half against the Patriots. We can speculate about reasons why, but there is a chance they can get back to what they were three weeks ago against the Bengals, when they played well even without Alexander and Holcomb. Trubisky and the offense have to give the defense some help. The Colts aren't nearly as good at stopping the run as the Patriots, so that should help.

If the team we saw against the Patriots and Cardinals shows up again, none of that will matter. The season is over. Let's hope that isn't the case.

Was the "Mitch can light it up" part a green font comment or do you seriously believe that??

Most likely the team will do well the first scripted series. After that I expect a complete collapse as they simply can't call an offense on the go.

Way too many issues to overcome. I'll be picking indy.

The indy defense has length and speed which has shown to destroy the oline.

I think the under/over is 42.5 which I find high. I guess Indy can put up some points??

They're averaging 25ppg, so I guess they're thinking Steelers will score around 17. I wish I'd taken the under all year for the Steelers. I'd be way more up than I am now. Go with your gut and take the under I say.

I expect an ugly low scoring close game that could go either way.

Every scrub QB in the league this year has had at least one game in which they went off for 3 or 4 TD's and over 300 yards. Last night Aiden O'Connell threw four 4TD's after not generating a single point the week before. Tommy Devito, Joe Flacco even Bailey Zappe have had big games. The lone exception is the Steelers QB's it's got to be more than they are just bad QB'S, it has to be a terrible system also.

Remember when James Farrior said, “It’s a 5 star matchup, cuz we in it!”? Now it seems to be…. Expect an ugly, low scoring game, cuz we in it.

    Depressing.

They were lamenting on 93.7 the fan today about the old matchups the Steelers had 15 years ago. Ben vs Brady and Ben vs Peyton Manning. Now we have Trubisky vs Gardner Minshew to look forward to a week after Mitch lost to Bailey Zappe. The quality of the whole league is gone down the crapper.

While that's true to some degree, some of those matchups were brought on by injury. Otherwise, we might have two young QBs in Pickett vs Anthony Richardson. We now have Mahomes vs Allen, Hurts vs Prescott vs Purdy, Stroud vs Richardson vs Levis(?), etc. It's all cyclical.

In an unusual move MT has been silent all week, being retrospective and trying to find the best way to motivate his charges to preserve his reign of no losing seasons, he comes into the locker room and quotes one famous line from the past.

"We can't lose no games, this and we must beat off defenders". Will the logic and majestic words of Pimply Dan work? News at 11.

The elite QBs in the league still seem to be a step behind what they were 10-15 years ago. Allen and Mahomes are both below Manning and Brady. Brady went a number of years without talented receivers, and still played at an elite level. Mahomes has turned the ball over quite a bit this year and struggled at times. He's still the best QB in the league imo, but tyreek hill must have taken Mahomes' superman cape with him to Miami.

The other elite QBs of that era, Brees, Rodgers, Ben, Rivers, etc all were better QBs as well. Prescott is finally playing elite football, and Hurts is a supreme talent, but they need more consistency.

It's the eras they play, I have been watching some 70's games on YT, not only Steelers but some other teams as well. Bradshaw really did not evolve until later in his run, and watching some guys whose names I remember, but really not their play I was surprised. Stabler and Staubach of course, but Pastorini, Ken Anderson, and some others really made it a good competition.
