I wrote that I was wrong about one detail, but that doesn't change the larger argument. I'm not defending what Trubisky is doing now. You are so one of those people who get so focused on listening to your own noise that you don't even try to understand what others try to tell you. Again, that is why you fail. It is truly comical that you talk about others aguing like a child while doing exactly that yourself.

It was ridiculous for another poster to argue Trubisky was mostly to blame for those losses. The defense fell apart. The offense put up three points before he got in the game, so it's not like they were lighting the Cardinals up. He got all of one snap, a hand-off, with the game tied. By the time he had an opportunity to affect the game, they were trailing by seven, then Cole ruined that drive by snapping the ball at Trubisky's toes. Yes, he was bad against the Patriots, but the defense was worse. If you can't acknowledge those realities, you are just letting your hate for the guy blind you.

Evaluating players without looking at their entire careers is stupid, especially players young enough that their physical skills are intact. I'm sorry you don't understand that.

None of that defends Trubisky now. He is playing poorly. There is nothing on either player's resume to suggest Rudolph would be better, but he should still get his shot if Trubisky falters again Saturday.

By the way, do you think you don't bore me, too, when you make the same flawed argument over and over even when it isn't relevant? I wasn't talking about Trubisky vs. Rudolph when you chimed in. I was talking about how silly it was to blame the quarterback when the defense fell apart in both games and the running game disappeared against the Patriots.

The AFC offense player of the week was Zach Wilson. The NFC winner was Tommy Devito. Let that sink in.

Hey Mr. Tomlin; I hope Mason got a few snaps with the 1st team offense and wasn't spending all his time this week on the scout team.

The only thing that makes sense in your post is “they know exactly what they have in Mason.” The whole thing about why Mason isn’t playing is :poopy:

Yeah, I guess the 49ers didn’t get that memo when they let Lance go for Purdy.

What’s so dopey about his argument is that the Steelers drafted Rudolph. If he became the team’s star QB, he’s a star that was drafted and developed by the team. But no… there’s a mad conspiracy in the organization against Rudolph. That’s why they’re paying him over a million dollars just to be the emergency QB when they could have brought in any one of dozens of alternatives without paying another nickel into Rudolph’s bank account. Oh the vicious conspiracy!!!

It’s almost as ridiculous of a statement as the statement that Rooney keeps Tomlin around because he’s satisfied with mediocrity.

    It's my guess.
I can only base it off the fact that with Mason stinking up the joint, fans screaming for Mason, they didn't bat an eye.
So me must have ticked off someone. Maybe they use him today? Indy has a defense that likes to intercept passes.

If he burned bridges so badly, why is he here cashing a paycheck to be the emergency QB? There were plenty of options. Still are. Yet he’s getting $1million+ from the team to do nothing.

I think you're missing the point.
The premise of my statement is based on Mitch is trash and Mason should have been called upon sooner.
He has the experience and knows this team. Unfortunately, those are the only two good things I can say about him.
    Neither are good options.

So yes, absolutely he's here collecting paychecks. It is his job. I agree.
But I also recognize that it literally took an incredibly poor performance (a string of) by Mitch to get in a game.
I don't know if it is worth it at this point but Mitch should be cut and someone off the street signed. He is that bad.
