Is out coaching use because we have no coaches and no leadership. Do Mason even dress for the games and if he does, why.

Belechick did not out-coach Tomlin, Tomlin under-coached Belechick.

Rudolph has arguably the best job in sports. Get paid to suit up and have a great seat to watch a game. No chance of injury, and if you didn't prepare like you should, on the off chance you somehow have to play, no one will know because you can't be any worse than the other 2. I assume he doesn't even have to take many reps in practice even. Complete waste of a roster spot. We'd be smarter to keep 2 punters active.

Yeah, the Pats offense really let up in the 2nd half. Bill was begging Tomlin to win the game, but Tomlin showed Bill no mercy :lolol:

Mason dressed for the Thursday night game

It is the first game he dressed for this year

The number 3 quarterback typically does not dress

    Thursday he was number 2

Cliff Stout qualified for an nfl pension before he ever took a snap

I’m guessing that name is before you were born maybe

My buddy used to say that about Brett Farve sticking around. "You are gonna pay how much, yep I'll take that". A couple million to hold the clip board and ear piece, "Yep I'll take that". Genius!!!

I doubt Carolina wins 2-3 more games anyway. They're really, really bad. Too bad for them they don't have their own 1st round pick. That franchise is going to be a mess for a while

David Tepper is a complete joke of an owner. A ridiculously wealthy man that thinks the money he has to purchase an NFL franchise carries the knowledge to run the team. They've had six coaches in the five years he's owned the Panthers. They've won more than five games twice during that span.

Number 3 dresses this year. Just can’t be used unless 1 and 2 are ruled out.

Where are you getting this? The #3 Emergency QB does not take up a roster spot for gameday, but can go into the game if both QBs go down in front of him.

I believe Mason would be in uniform as the #3 QB, It is not like they can pause the game as Mason was sent to the Lockeroom to change out of his street clothes.

LOL... I have always loved the Mason Rudolph to Clark Kent comparisons, so Mason doing a quick change out of his Street Clothes, and into his Uniform in the blink of an idea would be a fun moment for me. Where is the nearest phone booth Lois? :)

All the people that think Mason is happy getting paid to do nothing have never played a sport.

2 names are being mentioned for the Chargers (who play in Los Angeles) Belichick and Jim Harbaugh. Especially if Michigan wins the national championship Harbaugh will accomplish what he set out to do there.

That only makes sense if you assume that Mason doesn't have any self respect and has no interest or ambition in playing football. Looking at how dejected he looks in those instances where he's been asked about his increasingly diminished role on the team, it's clear that he doesn't agree with the sentiment that he has the best job in sports. I mean, I get what you're saying - on paper, it would, indeed, seem like the easiest job ever - but I Mason would disagree and would greatly prefer the struggle of being an active starting QB or even a serious QB2 vs being paid to do nothing on the sideline.

He was happy to sign the contract

He is happy cashing the check

He’s happier than not getting paid which is his only other option

I’ve played sports to some degree and if the Steelers asked me to watch the game from the sideline for $1M a year I’d be happy

Ok who else here would be happy put your hand up

Next year he will have 2 options at best return for another one year contract or be out of the NFL and I suspect it will only be the latter
