I’m 36 years old. I’ve been watching and rooting for this team since I was a little kid. There were years where Bill didn’t get to .500. I watched the 97 Super Bowl. F you Neil. But I was still a fan because there was hope.

I have tried so hard to not go after Tomlin. But after these past two weeks I’m so upset. His dumbass look on his face. We haven’t won a playoff game since what the Bungals game where they gave it away?

it’s time for a change. It’s not working. Gonna .500 can’t be the goal.

It easy to have hope if there is a reason to be optimistic, but at this point I don’t see an answer on offense. It just needs to be gutted.

Cowher had some stinker seasons when the QB was named Miller, Graham, Stewart, Maddox and Tomczak. We are seeing that played out right now

Cowher won 5 playoff games with those stiffs starting. (It might be more. I could be forgetting one or 2)

Not to mention he who shall not be named.

    You were saying?

Brother, if you had grown up in the 70s, you would really be frustrated.

Also had two straight losing seasons and missed the playoffs three years in a row with those stiffs. Don’t blame him. Stiffs don’t win championships

I’m sorry I threw age in there. Yes there are great members of this board that have been fans longer than me and some others. But that doesn’t change our current outlook. I’m just frustrated. Love all you guys on here though. Except Benny if he’s still trolling.

I agree. The 80s sucked but it was different. Still felt like Steelers ball.

The point being: he WON playoff games. Even despite bad QBs.

And one of those 3 years without a playoff appearance was a season where we got FOUR apology letters from the league for screwing us with bad calls that cost us the game. Just saying...

To be fair, Noll left Cowher a pretty good foundation.

This team has no identity, no grit no anything. They’re as lost as their head coach is. Time to move on. This ain’t Steeler football I watched tonight. That was sad.

New generation of players with many on this team being "me first" guys vs team first with the exception of a few guys. I would give anything to know what Jack Lambert thinks of this mess!!

I'm just a few years older and this is exactly how I feel. Could tomlin turn it around in coming years?? Maybe but I'd rather move on. Just hearing his voice now makes me angry.

Completely agree. I've seen 1-15 teams with more grit, identity and direction than this Steelers team. I got more respect for the 2011 Avella team that lost 86-0 to a Tyler Boyd Clairton team than this Steelers team. It just sucks and is painful. They don't have to look good the remaining 4 games, just give me some hope that 2024 is going to be better.

Lambert is probably thinking if he was on this team the coaches would limit him to just special teams.

Bring back Bubby Brister... he sucked but dam I loved that guy. Atleast when he tried to hit a punching bag he didn't miss and hit the wall....

I remember back in the 1960's when we had guys like Bill Saul, Ernie Stautner and Big Daddy Lipscomb. The Steelers usually didn't have a winning record back then but damn they would hit like hell on every play. There was certainly no lack of effort on those teams. If someone would have walked away from a live football on the field like Dionte Johnson did, he would have to go see a proctologist to get Bill Saul's cleats out of his butthole.

Ok, so what? Who is advocating to fire Tomlin and hire Cowher? Cowher has nothing to do with this conversation.
You can talk about bad QB play all you want, but what about all those years when Tomlin had Ben? What is the excuse for those years? We also had plenty of other incredible players since 2010 as well. I could name them, but if you're a fan you already know.

I don't even care about this year. It's one year. I care about 2011 to now. Basically zero success. Losses to backup QB's. A defensive coaching giving up on average of 45 points in the last 3 playoff games, to 2 QB's who couldn't make it as starters.
