    Why is anyone surprised?

A coach that talks about a bunch of nothing but holds no one accountable unless he has no choice and lets the idiots run the locker room. What makes anyone think that anything would change on the larger scale. He's the coach for one reason only, that's becoming more and more clear. His performance certainly isn't justifying anything.

Very troubling hearing Warren making comments like this. He isn’t just saying this to say it either there is definitely truth behind it. It needs to be asked at Tomlin’s press conference tomorrow since Mr Word Salad likes to dance around and twist every negative comment the media asks him since he thinks they like to make stuff up more times then not.

Warren might end up in the dog house, but credit him for trying to offer an explanation for whatever that was

Wow. I follow Trai on Twiiter and never expected this type of criticism coming from him. Frustrating to watch the offense be this ineffective game after game. No cheerleaders today.

except it did happen with Cowher! They had these games against teams when he was coach as well.

So fans have been saying for YEARS that Tomlin takes bad teams too lightly, and here we have a player saying they took a bad team too lightly. Aren't coaches supposed to learn from their past mistakes instead of continuing to repeat them year after year after year after year.....

I think Warren is a straight shooter. He is also one where I never feel the need to question his effort. I tend to believe what he has to say. It was obvious the Cards were fired up for this game. The Steelers are nowhere near good enough to "just show up". Damn few teams throughout the history of the league are. Character matters as much as talent and practice.

Twelfth game of the year and they are still having to burn timeouts because they have too many players on the field on offense or the play clock is winding down. A well prepared, well-practiced team shouldn't have these issues this late in the year.

I feel this team always plays like **** when they get full of themselves.

They seem to play much better when they have a chip on thier shoulder and the underdogs.

Warren will be int he doghouse big time now, you watch because Tomlin was asked this in his presser and he said no. So you contradicted your head coach, just no upside as a player saying anything other than the politically correct answer there.

    I mean...

The 1994 AFC Championship Game is by far and away his biggest blight as Steelers Head Coach.

If the Chiefs lose tonight, that should make the Organization even sicker about this cupcake loss.

Could have been dreaming of chasing the #1 Seed.

This team having the #1 seed would be an abomination and we would get blown out the first playoff game. Our O line is horrible, we make too many mental mistakes and our defense is always good for being smoked. Until we fix our Offensive Line with 3 more studs we are going nowhere.

yeah, they lost a few they had no business losing,

Tim Tebow for instance says hello

Noll teams on the other hand took care of business.

Tebow was Tomlin. I blame that loss on not having Clark because of sickle cell fears.

Someone wasn't around for the 80's unless that's pure sarcasm. One thing people did say was that you knew you were in a game after playing the Steelers, even if you beat them.

ok, even if Clark wasn’t available, you don’t let someone like Tebow beat you when your that heavily favored. Cards had both starting CB’s out against us and they got the job done.

Cowher’s heavily favored Steelers team dropped the chargers playoff game in the 90’s against Stan Humphrey I believe.

No sarcasm, Nolls teams took care of business when they were heavy favorites. Certainly in the 70’s, in the 80’s they were mediocre, so I don’t know how much that applies. I know they played above their heads in 89.

What amazes me is how the team actually thinks they're good. They've sucked at offense for 3 years.... how could they possibly be confident, let alone, over confident??

I half suspected this would happen tbh.

Partly because I thought all of the media comments on how the Steelers were going to be vastly improved without Canada was overhyped, and partly because the Cardinals are actually a better team than their record suggests.

    Classic trap game.
