Blitz

We are getting beat every week on picking up the blitz and on actually being successful with our own blitzes. I don’t know if it is coaching, communication or personnel.

I think it’s a mixture of all of the above. Mason Cole is absolute trash. We miss on so many blitz pickups up the middle. Is he not making the right calls and adjustments or is it on the QB? Are we not coaching these guys up right? It just happens game after game.

The Defense I can understand a little. We are missing so many players. I feel like with the new additions on defense and then all the injuries we have never been able to truly get into a rythym on defense this year. With that being said there just seems to be no innovation too our blitzes. We need a better slot cb and some stability at ILB if we’re going to be successful at blitzing.

Very frustrating to watch this team and the constantly sloppy play. Even our Special teams lacks consistency.

 

Think the defense is just worn out from
Being on the field non stop since the offense does 3 and out’s 90 percent of the time

 

You do know the Steelers had a minute and a half more time of possession in this game than the Cardinals, right? The defense allowed a 99 yard TD drive that had nothing to do with fatigue, it had to do with bad defense.

 

Yeah I’m not buying it. That’s an excuse. Thus defense has not been very good all season. Once again a reflection of poor coaching. Tomlin needs to stop hiring inferior coaches. Just really tired of seeing long drives game after game. Ever since Lebeau left it has been a slow burn with regards to the defense getting worse and worse year after year.
