What happened with the site??

Its happened before. The 1st time I thought I was blocked

Glad its back up and working again. We may all not agree or agree to disagree or just disagree but i'm grateful I can come to a place and talk about the Steelers.

 

I tried to donate (should have been doing that a long time ago) and got to the end and hit the blue button to donate and nothing happened so I cancelled.

Should I try again or is that messed up too?

 

I will say that it did mess with my daily routine and I tried to find another message board but could not find anything remotely as good as this one.

Hope it stays working because it is the best. Thank you mods for all you do!

 

I'm not sure. I was able to make a donation using it this morning. I used PayPal to make the transaction. A mod can probably answer your question.

 

I wanted to read what yinz were saying about the DJ situation…but couldn’t get in!

 

I kept getting DNS errors, and when I would try to look up the site's IP address manually, the results said that the site had no DNS records. If you're not in IT, those are the Internet catalogue of addresses that tie a site name (ie. thesteelersfans.com) to it's actual address (108.160.154.119). So I don't know if the site itself was down, but the servers that tell your computer how to go to 108.160.154.119 when you type thesteelersfans.com were either down or had records deleted.

 

Anyone else having to keep logging in if they close the page and open a new one hours later?

I did for about 4 days or so. It hasn't made me do it yet today.

I write a post wishing Matt Canada was back and next thing I know I can't log on anymore.

Yep, I went on a search too. This board is absolutely the best.

I once had a Visa gift card with some $$$$ on it and gave to this site. Never heard if they got it or not.

 

Yeah, unless I'm remembering incorrectly, it seems like this is the longest it's ever been down, at least that I can remember.

Since it was down so long, I actually started looking at other Steeers message boards, and they just weren't the same. My son recommended Discord, and it was more like an ongoing Slack discussion than a message board, so that's not really my preferred thing.

 

I got thrown off a Pirate site once for being to critical of their cheap ass owner. I was convinced after a few weeks it was a site set up by Nuttings (owner) family.

The Mods forgot to renew the Christian Mingle account, so we got shut down for a few days...

 

So glad it is back, it was messing with my morning routine.

Yes, you are absolutely NOT ALLOWED to be a fan of a player on the team if anyone on TSF dislikes them!

 

I tried changing my Password to IloveRatsBunglesStains and it blew up the site. Sorry Guys/Gals.
