I read an article last week that said Disney was about to pull the plug on Disney+ because they are losing so much money trying to overtake Netflix. If your business model is to try and overtake another streaming service that has its own money problems then I think your playing a losing hand. Disney's problem is that they tried to make certain things part of the premium package where you have to pay to stream new movies the week they release in theaters. The problem with that is most of grew up during the days where it could be a year before it hit VHS or 6 months to DVD or 2 months to Bluray. We are used to waiting. That and their money grabs with the "vault" certainly make it less than friendly to the average consumer. In the end its all BS because they aren't shuttering their stream service so much as forcing people to get their new streaming app that won't have content filters and brings Hulu into the main app while allowing Ala carte options for subscription. Welcome to the digital hassle, now where is my flying car.

It’s definitely about the NFL selling out. The streaming services pay up for exclusivity to get subscribers hoping people will forget to cancel after the game. The NFL has the rights to the games; they can make whatever distribution deals they want rather than selling out for exclusivity.

I understand it’s advertised as streaming only however, if the Steelers are playing in it, it will be available via traditional TV in the local market. I believe they are required to do this. When Thursday night games moved to Prime they do the same thing.
