To be fair, Warren has been getting the ball more on running downs for weeks. Harris was just the better option against a Bengals team that doesn't tackle well.

I think comp. breeds better play.

Najee seemed to run with more of chip on his shoulder yesterday.

Warren was a little down yesterday, fumble hurt. Between the two Warren is more fumble prone than Harris.

That was knock on Warren as a Rookie in training camp I believe.

You will get more explosive runs from Warren, he has a higher gear.

Having a good one-two punch helps. Play the hot hand of the day.

I also think having Broderick and Washington tandem blocking with those guys at RT and TE helps, them Georgia Boys know how to run block well.

Washington was very lucky his holding call got picked up, I think that was holding for sure and Steelers go away with one there.

Yes he had been... his big 75 came in 2nd and 10.... but if you go back and see where he was most effective it was in long yardage... that's not dating he was not tunning his tail off on them

But when is 3rd and 19 and you get 17... it looks different. (That was Najees one 3rd down carryv against Cle.) Made his statsv look better but Cle was playing it differently protecting the endzone and first down... running downs look different

Etienne is averaging 3.7 yards per carry, fewer than Harris. He has more yards because he gets more carries, a function of not having a teammate as good as Warren and playing in a better offense.

I think they are both good backs. I would like to see them both used in the game plan.

I also think we have misused Najee. We need to let him get down hill and build up steam. I would like to see how Najee would do with a commitment to the run game, all four quarters, and the right number of carry’s. He reminds me of a back who gets stronger as the game goes.

It was interesting that Charles Davis kept saying that it was better to hand off to Najee from under centre or in the pistol. I seem to recall Najee said he preferred running out of the shotgun. Perhaps taht's what led to them using those shotgun runs more than they needed to?

You raise a good question. I feel like when he runs out of shotgun it doesn’t end well. Maybe some of that was blocking up front, which seems to have gotten better.

He averaged 5.1 last year and leads the league in forced missed tackles. Kinda hard to blame him for the "struggles" he's had this season.

Najee and Jaylen get about equal work now which is how it should be. What that comparison does not show is by keeping the touches split they keep both guys fresh and keeps the healthy.

Kinda hard to call a guy averaging 3.7 yards per carry a stud.

Naj is a beast. Get him some blocking and run the ball down hill and he will keep the chains moving.

Based on last week on Harris getting 99 yards and a TD.... you leave it alone under these new OC's

One thing we all don't key on enough is Jones and Washington combo blocking. We're seeing what having two guys that played with each other can do when you work them together.
