After that piss poor blocking before the fumble, his lack of effort to see the play through to be able to get the fumble and also no attempt to try to tackle.

Im sorry that is a complete embarrassment to see that from someone in the Black and Gold.

Khan need to improve their WR core in the offseason and trading Johnson could be a scenario if this is possible....

As much as that may be needed, there isn't much depth out there that says do that.

Calvin Austin 3:16 hasn't done much.

Allen Robinson- doesn't seem to do a ton anymore, other than a catch or 2 a game at most.

What Kenny needs to probably do is find Pickens more.

I believe strongly in accountability. Even though it may hurt the team in the short term, I would bench him for at least a quarter. It would put everyone on notice that they are going to be held accountable and I believe it would help the team in the long run.

I know Tomlin won't do that though.

Well Pickens has to do better in route running, too.

Robinson seems to be used more as a blocker in the run game. They are under-using him.

I’m still not sold on Austin, but given how many three and outs we’ve had this year I reserve judgement…

Not saying he will, but he’s benched guys before. Claypool, Schobert… there was that game when every RB who fumbled got benched which was a bit of an embarrassment

DJ is becoming a poor man’s AB.

Tomlin needs to get into his head, keep him on the field, get him some TDs then Omar needs to trade his butt before the draft !!

It's very hard to understand his motives.
"I was just doing what I do, blocking or whatever."

This is going to get addressed, though I don't know the outcome.

Johnson was targeted 8 times and had 4 catches, of which a couple were pretty good catches.
His actions on that play, complete unawareness of anything and zero effort are unacceptable.
He owes his team an explanation and an apology. That would be step 1.
Step 2, a team fine or suspension without pay. Might not be a bad idea.

At the very least I hope he holds him accountable in front of his teammates. He is a grown ass man and needs to be accountable for what turned out to be one of the laziest plays I've ever seen by any player.

I truly believe he thought the ball was dead but he should know you have to fall on the ball anytime you see it like that. Play through the whistle.

The no effort on the play, lack of blocking is inexcusable though. Hopefully it’s just a one off thing. I’ve always been a defender of DJ’s because of his high effort whether it be during the game or off the field working on his craft so I don’t see him repeating what we saw Sunday. Hope not anyway.

He was probably still pissed off that Tomlin didn't challenge his touchdown catch.

You ever been screwed over by your boss, and then the next time your boss asks you to do something you just kind-of half ass it? You saw DJs reaction when he scored that TD right.

Addison might already be a better player and he is a rookie, which means he is much cheaper. Even with a pick included, they aren't trading him for Johnson.
