Isn't that Biden's playbook? (For humor only, not being political - not that there is anything wrong with that).

You’re behind the times. It’s all about dual threat QBs these days. Take a deep breath and say “I’m ready for the future of quarterbacking.” :lolol:

Kidding aside, other than watching a couple of games of Penix and Nix on “tape”, my only QB watching so far has been on live TV. However there has been quite a bit of very good college QB play. Enough that I’m confident that there will be more than 1 QB from this draft that end up as strong NFL starters. The hard part is identifying which ones because many do not play in NFL schemes. Penix is the easiest to translate to the NFL because he throws a lot of NFL passes. My view on him is mixed. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he becomes a Pro Bowler, but he’s far from a sure thing. When he’s “on,” which is most of the time, it’s fun to watch.

Penix is super talented and fun to watch.

A real issue with him may be his injury history. He has had four seasons end with major injuries. Love the way he plays, but he has had a lot of injuries at the college level. You would have to think that getting hit by NFL players may be a problem. I hope the kid stays healthy, but I think a lot of his history points to more injuries being likely.

For sure, he would absolutely have to learn how to protect his body. AB was a master at this. He still took an unfortunate headshot/cheapshot, but aside from that one play he was never in danger of getting hurt at 5'10'' 185 lbs.

Since no one does it in the NFL, I have argued over and over it would actually work against MOST teams. Folks call it a high school offense, but it also runs up 500+ yards in college too, even against teams making fun of it, only to get embarrassed.
I am not arguing for it, but it could/would work well with the right coach and OL coach and OL made for quickness. That said, there are always a couple of DCs that eat the T.O. for lunch and hold em to sub 200 yards...probably would happen in AFC/NFC championship game.

I would look at SF offensive coaches, their offensive philosophy
creativity seems miles ahead of everybody else. Now only if MT
would allow this type of coordinator to make the changes that are needed.

I have a feeling Mark Davis is going to hire him to be the next Raiders HC.

They're both weird birds of a feather.

He’d be a natural fit in New England if Bellechick hangs it up.

I agree. I don't have to love the guy, just what he does for the team. He was just a thought since he may soon be removed. Who knows though. Maybe he would bring or give us access to some of those large o-linemen he has up there. :hehehe::cool:

Agreed, What the Hell... Jim Harbaugh Offensive Coordinator?

The only way you get Harbaugh to come here, is if Tomlin retires, and Harbaugh can be the head coach.

I want an offense that is aggressive and they play to win no matter the score and no matter the situation.Even in the killer B's era, sometimes the Steelers were too conservative in the beginning of the game, especially on the road, which is a big reason why we have so many close games in the Tomlin era

The Steelers were way more aggressive at the start of game in 2004 and 2005 when we had Cowher, especially in 2005, when the Steelers were one of the best first quarter offenses in the league....After that it was Cowherball to protect the lead for the rest of the game

I think he will go high, but he has a chance to get in the top 3 or 5 category is he stays healthy and they produce the next couple of games, especially if they get in the playoffs and produces well.
