Sure the hell hope it's "We're number 1" but if things go sour early they could be yelling for a QB's head.

I sure hope the fans understand it won't happen instantly, if at all. It would be wrong to expect instant success. The few fellow Steeler fans I have talked to today are pretty pumped about it. We shall see.

It's Tomlin's way of trying to save his, never had a losing season streak alive.

This Sunday: "See? They fired Canada and the offense still sucks. It was all Kenny!"

Nobody said Canada is the only problem. And I doubt this will cause an immediate improvement. And, yes, Kenny is another problem.

"Tomlin's responsibility as a head coach is to prepare his players to execute and take responsibility when they don't."

Interesting that we’ve heard from tomlin numerous times taking responsibility. Of course you’re probably one of those I don’t listen to him people. Interestingly enough the players have a different take, “whining and complaining doesn’t do anything. We still have to execute”.

we have receivers running wide open every single game fire Canada, tomlin fire everybody, art sucks! Hear me roar! The Steelers are cheap! Tomlin doesn’t know X’s and O’s!

    Central problem is Mike Tomlin
Vice Central problem was Matt Canada
Lower on the list was Kenny Pickett. I don't love the guy, but how do we know if he can/can't read defense? For all we know, Canada told him to only throw to option 1 or 2 and the 3 and 4 downfield will always be decoys. WE don't know.

I do think we'll need a better QB, but it wouldn't shock me to see Pickett start throwing for 250+ yards and multiple TDs now...unless Mike Tomlin overrided temp OC and we get ultra-conservative play calling behind he line of scrimmage.

Tomlin is and has been THE problem for nearly 10 years. Can't believe he is still head coach. IF some other team incorrectly assesses him as a great HC, trade him, get a 1st round draft pick and laugh uncontrollably.

Pickett has never had a complete game in all his starts. Defense has handed him some wins.

    Why not all THREE?

    Tomlin, Canada and Pickett?

Personally, Tomlin should have been fired WITH Canada. We'll never be any threat to another playoff while Tomlin is running this mix of dumpster fire and hot mess.

The standard is the standard. Was super bowls and division titles. Now its eek out a .500 season, while looking like the worst of two teams on the field 14 weeks out of 17 and getting destroyed (if we make it to wild-card) in mid-December.

The trajectory says the standard will become, in just another couple of seasons, "Let's win ONE game and really show the NFL we mean business" while salvaging an 0-17 season.

What does this really even mean, new oc with the same system but Sullivan calls the plays so what is faulkner going to do, perhaps add a few new plays and tweak some others. What is so ridiculous about this is had they come to their senses heading into the bye they would have had way more time to straighten some **** out vs 4 days before a divisional game. That's how desperate things have become and lends credence in my mind that a locker room meltdown was brewing. Yes a total guess but the timing of this is bizarre considering it been bad all season!

They are 6-4, currently on track for a playoff spot, despite a defense that has been gutted by injuries and an offense going through some serious growing pains. They weren't going to fire him.

I think it was a combination of things falling apart in the locker room and the offense's disgraceful performance in Cleveland, but yeah, the timing sucks.

Also, if Pickett can be salvaged, it is going to take more than one week to do it.

Can't wait for the Game Day Thread on Sunday.

When will we see the first "See, I told you it wasn't Canada, Kenny sucks" post?

    A) After the first incompletion
    B) After the first interception
    C) After the first 3 and out
    D) After the coin toss

    Place your bets now.
