Would a good offensive coordinator even want to come here if Pickett is still the QB?

Honest question. Pickett appears to be really bad and does not show signs of doing anything well. Would a good offensive coordinator want to risk their reputation trying to fix Pickett, knowing that it could very well not work? The flip side would be that if they were able to, they would get a lot of praise.

My prediction: Canada is fired at the end of the year. Trubisky and Mason are gone next year. They sign a random veteran backup. They hire a little known offensive coordinator. They still feature a heavy run game but install a passing game that forces Pickett to throw down the field and utilize the middle (if he still chooses not to then this is all on him and he is bad). Pickett throws a bunch of bad passes and picks. Fans and media are clamoring for a QB change after like three or four games (if that). The noise is so loud that they do finally bench Pickett for good at the BYE whenever that is and the random veteran backup becomes the starter for the rest of the season. Then they draft a new QB next year.

They would only have to work with Pickett for one season. If I was a future OC and I was being highly sought after I would make it a point to include some stipulation in the contract that I would have substantial input in the next QB picked. If Kenny Pickett can't pick up my offense I want to be able to show the guy I picked can.

    OMG.
This thread is a bit much.

Of course, an OC would want to come here. Why the hell not?
This is not a 'cess pool organization' Washington owned that.
You guys probably toss the printer when it runs out of ink.

There are 32 jobs for OC in the NFL. Not a lot of room to pick and choose.
