If they’re gonna go the conservative route and stick with KP then they might as well consider trading some of these guys for draft capital and free up cap space. Put yourself in Watts shoes he came in at the tail end of Ben’s career when he was a shell of himself. The guy has never had a good QB and he has never won a playoff game. Same with Minkah. These guys would see it as a wasted year if KP is the automatic starter next year. They need to get the best free agent QB they can get next year and bring them into compete. I would draft a QB fairly high as well.

They can clear cap space by releasing Mitch, Rudolph and Okorafor which should be more than enough to get a quality QB in here.

it will all be for not if Tomlin doesn’t get a quality OC on here. They need a new oline coach as well. Seamalu looked horrendous today. He played great for Philadelphia so it’s obviously coaching.

 

I just can’t believe that the last set of downs they didn’t throw to Pickins. I know he was covered but if the ball is anywhere near him he’ll catch it.

Yup. They build their record against average to below average teams in the regular season and then get smoked in playoff games against above average teams. Same ole **** just a different year.

Full blown Tomlin hate site now lol. All the anti Tomlin posts get nothing but positive feedback with many saying they want him gone. Wow. Such hatred for a team predicted to finish last in their division and not make the playoffs…..but is currently 6-4 and would be in the playoffs if they started now. Mind you, the preseason predictions were made under the impression that Pickett would actually get better and take some kind of a leap. This team is 6-4 even with him regressing into one of the worst QBs in the league. They just lost their first 1-score game out of the last 10 but yes, let’s trash the coaching lol.

it’s funny how the narratives change too. Before yesterdays game the Tomlin haters were whining about how he’s too conservative and blaming Kenny’s struggles on being held back and not allowed off the leash. They explained Kenny’s good 4th qtr performances as finally being allowed to play freely and not be held back by the coaches. Then after yesterday’s game the narrative switched to Tomlin not being conservative enough and running Warren more especially on the last drive.

They put the ball in Kenny’s hands on the last drive in hopes that he could at least get them 30 yards for a potential fg. They gambled on Kenny instead of playing conservatively and it didn’t work out.
Oh well, now they’re 6-4(2-1) and on to the next while still being very much a factor going forward. This team has still overachieved this year considering how the qb-passing game has fell on its face. That’s mainly due to good coaching. It’s a shame that so many Steelers fans aren’t smart enough to see it.

 

I don't know why you expect him to share anything insightful to the media. 99.9999% of NFL coaches do not.

 

I’d like to know that players and coaches are being held accountable. Based on reaction of other players, DJ and Harris come to mind, it appears that isn’t happening. If that means “throwing under the bus” so be it.

 

You deal with team crap within the team not in press conferences

 

Blount, Holmes, Bell, AB, Silverback…within the team handling seems to be sub par.

 

Imagine paying 15 million in backup QBs the Steelers are a joke and lost they deserve to suck !!!!

 

The Steelers have been lost for years their ability to create the facade of being in contention has most fans dillusional it’s really pathetic

Most overrated coach ever man he mailed it in after his first 6 years when he actually was good. I could argue that the Steelers could have actually been better with out Tomlin everyone says look what he did ? Your joking he’s had studs his whole time and had under accomplished he’s terrible

 

Teflon Mike does not care he knows he’s untouchable. Sad fact is that he could have multiple titles if he was not so controlling instead he’ll finish with one and a less then stellar playoff record
