What would our record be with Trubisky starting?

I would say 2-7. Say what you want about Pickett, but he makes plays when it counts the most, and doesn't lose you games like Trubisky would

Benefit of the doubt 3-6 turnover machine.

Trub is a dud and adds to my believe no guarantees in the NFL draft. Tank and get a higher pick is BS. Some say the Bengals tanked to get Burrow. How's that first SB? NOT! And now it seems the Bengals could be paying a lot of money for nada.

TBH I knew Burrow was the real deal. What he did in College compared to Pickett isn't even close.

To OP: We'd be 5-4. I believe in Mike Tomlin magic for once.

Do you think maybe Joe Burrow had better teammates than KFP in college? Joe Burrows is the real deal, but your college comparison is hilarious.

True that having a high draft pick does not guarantee anything in the NFL but for the Bengals situation, it is a success right now with Burrow and Chase....They made the Super Bowl 2 years ago after 31 years without playoffs win and they were almost in the SB again last year....If the only thing that is a success is a super bowl win, especially after only 3-4 years, almost every team is a failure in the NFL.... For me, I would be so happy if the Steelers go to the AFC title game this year, it would be a big success for them!

I will be kind and say 4-5.

TBH Its hard to imagine winning any games with Trubisky at QB.

    1-8

Steelers are winning by winning the turnover battle. Give it away and the number of wins goes down.

3 and 6 sounds reasonable for Trubisky, with a record for remaining games being at 4-4...thus, ending the season with about 7 wins, 10 losses.

Mason would be, imo, more difficult to gauge. I'd say it would depend on how consistent the line would be. I think at this point, we'd probably either be 4-5 or 5-4.

However...I think from here on out through the last games, if the line would continue to gel eith Broderick as it has and would more consistently do a good job of giving Mason a little time to work the field on his deep ball, I think he could theoretically have a back half record on par with Pickett's, maybe even slightly better. As such, I'd give him a roughly 9 or 10 win season (I predict Kenny finishing with 10 wins overall).

(With all of these numbers, I think it would be fair to give or take by 1.)

I still think the Steelers could have pulled out a win in the Jags game if Pickett didn't get hurt. We were trailing 17-10 and had the ball when the fourth quarter began but Mitch threw 2 picks in the quarter to kill any chance of a comeback, Kenny doesn't throw those picks so who knows how the game would have turned out. Pickett has thrown 4 interceptions in 34 quarters this season while Mitch has thrown 2 in 2 quarters of play.

Yeah, everything was setting up perfectly for Pickett to work some of his 4th quarter magic and pull off a win. My heart sank when I saw Trubisky with a helmet on to start the 2nd half, I knew it was game over

How quick people forget. Trub was signed because he fits with Tomlin's play it safe narrative. He's always been a safe player. Doesn't typically throw a lot of INT's. This year is too small of a sample size to even use.

I'm not saying Trubisky is a good QB or we'd be 6-3 with him, but he's typically a very safe player who doesn't throw picks.

I'm not sure a comparison of Burrow's final year at LSU is fair to any quarterback. The numbers were just insane. The guy completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. I don't think any college quarterback has ever come close, at least not against elite competition.

It wasn't all Burrow. He had Jefferson and Chase at receiver. They are both among the top five receivers in the NFL right now. They also had a future first-round pick at running back.

I sure understand your point of view but I'm at an age where it is Championships or nothing. Even with the Pirates, I want it all, not just making the Playoffs. And after watching this year MLB Playoffs I know that is a ship that has sunk. IMO the Steelers are my last chance at a Championship. I love the PENS and loved that amazing run but I don't understand Hockey enough to know if they have a good mix of young and older guys to contend.

Agree! Due to Daughter-in-law being an alum I got caught up in that season. Her and my son went to 4 of the games. I had Joe coming out of my ears. I don't follow the NCAA close at all but that had to be top 3 all time.

I think our record would be fairly similar. I do think we would move the ball better and score more points with Trubisky at QB. We would also turn it over more, so potentially giving up more points. I think our record would probably be 5-4 or 6-3, maybe worst case 4-5... It wouldn't be better.

I consider our defense to be far more responsible for us winning the close games than Kenny. So, the defense remains the same and we have a bad option at QB whether Trubisky or Pickett starts.

I agree He had better talent in college, but with that....You must also agree.....He played against way better talent than KFP played against, and that's not just counting in the playoffs.

Trubisky scored a TD that game, something Pickett wasn't able to do. Our defense did so well to keep us in it, but the offense couldn't get it going. I am 100% we lose that game no matter who played QB.

Thankfully for me they stopped sending shirt after shirt and rarely talk about it although they still go to games. I think they are OK this year but just like all sport fans, once you taste a Championship it is all you ever want.

I disagree. 1 td doesn't equal 2 ints. Especially when You take a chance at even just field goals off the board. We have won games were we didn't score tds offensively until late in the game. Some people (not saying You) keep looking at what Trubisky did in Chicago, and nor what He has done since He left. He's a freaking turnover machine. For Buffalo 0tds, and 1 ints. For the Steelers 5tds, and 7 ints. That's 5 tds, and 8 ints on two teams since Chicago got rid of Him.

Yes a bad Year for LSU is a 3, or 4 loss year. They don't go farther next year, and Brian Kelly will probably be gone.

One of those INT's was a hail mary IIRC, I am less worried about that but its not the point I was making. What I am saying is, Trubisky is throwing more picks because he is taking more chances. Pickett doesn't throw picks because he takes no chances. Hard to throw picks on dump offs to the RB's, back shoulder throws, and rollout 5 yard outs. I think our record would be similar because Trubisky would score more points and gain more yards than Pickett, but his turnovers would lead to more points against. Neither have been good enough IMO.
