I give more credit to Watt, Highsmith, Minkah, JP, and KP’s clutch than Tomlin, yeah Tomlin might give a few speeches and some pats on the back but the coordination and preparation for games in general is below par

Yeah, he's as good a candidate as any. The NFL lacks some of the deeper analytical stats some like baseball has, so this type of argument is prone to be more subjective. First-rounders like Jones can spoof stats - like PFR's Approximate Value - by way of simply getting more playing time.

I may be incorrect but didnt Cowher have a guy that was drafted as an OL and then they switched him to defense but he never made it. Stephens I think his name was. I should look it up to confirm but I thought he was a 1st rounder.

I mean, you could say the same thing about any game really.

Seems the Ravens do that often against the Steelers though. You could say that about some of the throws Kenny has made this year as well. Or, you can say if the O-line halfway blocked something up perfectly, maybe they have a running game.

They drafted Jamain Stephens in the first round of '96. He washed out in two years (went on to the Bengals for a few seasons), but remained an OT.

His son was a defensive lineman at Cal U of Pennsylvania, but passed away in 2020 from COVID complications at only 20.

So what I hear you saying is that things are going good?!

Let me tell ya something. There are more people than just Mike Tomlin that understand football and coach the game. Tomlin did most of his productive seasons with Cowher's players, including a HOF QB. Notice how when they (the key OL, QB, DL, LBs) all left, how have things gone?

I call it as I see it. I've coached and played. Do you have anything from an objective point of view or are you just going to be a little troll who makes sarcastic comments?!

I can’t believe we’re 6-3 and I’m not the least bit excited about our post season outlook. It has an air of inevitability. We may sneak into the playoffs but I fully expect to get blown out if/when we get there. I fluctuate between being happy we’re winning and wanting this charade to come to an end so we can build a team and coaching staff that can compete in the post season. I feel conflicted.

Same. I love when the team wins...but Steelers inability to tank under Tomlin is also the reason why never see any major, long overdue changes...and is also why we haven't gotten top 12 draft picks in literally close to two decades.

I believe Tomlin is a smart man. He is like the dude sitting up on the top step, looking out at the SF Bay. Getting to guide his pick, Kautious Kenny is rejuvenating him. Can`t any ya`ll see this?

Let Me ask You a question. Besides KC. Who are You confident in winning multiple Playoff games in the AFC.....I mean enough that You would put money on it????
Miami(the team that can't beat a winning team)....Bengals who may not make the playoffs, Ravens who have won 1 playoff game in like 8 years. Besides KC... JMO.....I don't see any that I would put money on. Who do You think???

The 2020 team was mediocre but somehow managed to start the season winning its first 11.

I think KC has the best chance but they’ve been somewhat inconsistent. When the Dolphins are firing on all cylinders on offense they’re tough to hang with. But they’re a non-contender now because of the Claypool effect, lol. The Ravens are unpredictable and they still could be that team that gives the Chiefs trouble. The Bills? Who knows what’s going on with them. But I can tell you this, unless the Steelers figure it out on offense they’ll have trouble winning one, let alone multiple playoff games. It’s good to see the running game starting to take off, but Pickett seems lost out there right now. Without good quarterback play and a competent OC, they’re going nowhere.

I’m saying that he is Super Bowl winning coach and you are not and never will be. You can sit at home and blast off about how you fixed your little league team but you’re out over your skis here. The team is 6-3, I know you hate that and it does not fit your narrative but that’s the record. Do I think they are got to win a SB.. No, but they sure as hell are not the Panthers or Patriots. Snap out of it, you don’t know anything but how to sit around and whine.
