Is offensive philosophy part of KP's issue?

The offensive philosophy of this team seems to be don't screw up and don't risk anything, and let the defense do their thing. Predictable and boring. Run into a wall of defensive linemen, check down passes, avoid middle of the field, bail out of the pocket early so no sack or fumble risk, run 3 times with 2:00 minutes left and leave it up to the defense, etc., etc. All safe plays. I think Kenny is living in his fears, as his coordinator said they aren't built to come from behind. Anxious and fearful, his accuracy suffers and he is inconsistent. Don't want to risk any throws that might lead to an interception, which slows down his thought process. Whether that is how he has been coached or something he is doing on his own, no idea.

    That's for three quarters.

When the fourth quarter comes around and they are behind, you no longer can play it safe - you need points. He then becomes a gamer, seemingly playing with more confidence. Many good, game-winning drives with better throws and accuracy. Might affect the rest of the offense, too.

It's a theory anyway. Early game is atrocious, and there must be a reason.

IDK, first drive (all scripted) looked pretty good last night and taking the ball to start was the right choice. The way Warren was playing though, aggressive/conservative doesn't matter - he was a man possessed and was amazing to watch. The rest of the O game plan is still a mystery and puts soooo much pressure on the D to hold time and time again. Sure glad they pulled it out and should have the week before and may have but for having to insert Trubs.
