The defense was outstanding in this game, 6 sacks, 2 picks, a fumble recovery, whats really impressive they only allowed 14 yards rushing, and never gave up a touchdown: Bens two picks furnished the points to allow the bungholes to win the game, and the bungies will be 1 and done in the playoffs: Me, I'm sorta galad our playoff run ended because watching this team play this year was like getting water boarded every week...MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL...

After the Titans game, when did the D play crappy? How many games did our turnover happy offense screw the defense? How many points did they give away?

The long 3rd down conversions made me mad.

:this!: Dalton had an open receiver to his right ALL DAY LONG! We did a great job applying pressure, but when we only rushed 3 guys there was always some one open on his right.

I am very pleased with how our defense developed this year. At the start of the year I was significantly worried about our run defense. And, yes, even at the end of year it was still suspect to an uncomfortable degree, but I think it was improved. Cincy certainly couldn't run against us--in fact we had our best performance all year against the run versus Cincy.

All in all, I am very happy with our defense at season's end. I can't say the same for the offense, though.

I was amazed at their performace given the newbies in the secondary. 14 yards rushing, turnovers and six sacks yep thats the steel defense I know and love. It's too bad we didn't win because they could have kept us in the playoffs.

I think they could have carried us in the playoffs as well. Another good defensive year squandered.

That hasn't happened before has it? heh. I have such painful memories of the championship game against the Broncos in the nineties and the SB loss to the Cowboys (just to mention a couple). They were such good defensive teams. All the offenses had to do was avoid self-destructing...but self-destruct they did :(
