Was this hit that Miller took that he was injured on borderline or what. I saw he had some words with the defender...:hmmm:

No, it wasn't even a hit, he got tangled up with Decastro and one of their lineman. Like usual, our lineman get thrown into each other and ankles get injured.

Miller got up a bit gimpy after that first hit at his knees. thats not the one that knocked him out of the game, but i bet it loosened things up a bit and the next hit made it worse.

Cheap all the way from a dirty hit perspective but that's the way Roger Idiot Gooddell wants the game to be played.

Made a comment in game about it. He definitely went at his lower knee with his helmet. He had plenty of time to hit him higher or go for a true tackle. He chose to go for the knee hit and Heath let him know about it. Most likely that hit did have something to do with his later injury. Swelling, weakened ligaments, probably should have come out the game, but that's hindsight.

I felt like a lot of their hits were aimed at our players knees to be honest.

That is what the league is promoting, stay away from anything higher so you don't get the inadvertant H-H hit if the receiver lowers their head. JH just commented on this.

This is why there's so many rib injuries this year, guys hitting lower. When brady gets broken ribs, then the league will turn into flag football

Stay tuned, this is what the league has ordered up for you,
You will see plenty of knee injuries like Heath Miller just had.
The hit was legal, and as Silverback has said his target has lowered.
When you have men the size of these men, that are capable
of the speed they can generate, SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE.

Firmly agree, but on that particular hit he intentionally went at his knee. That's why Heath had a talk with him after the play. He "intentionally" went at his knee with his helmet.

Michael Irving was saying the same thing when the rule first changed. It's terrible and I was afraid this would happen. Polamalu does this too, though. He dives low if he doesn't jump on the ball-carrier's back...

    Ok I am a 190 LB CB/Safety and you are a 260LB TE
and we are running full speed, all I am trying to do is
get you to the ground. Do you really think players are going
to say oh no I may have to hit him at the knee's? No they
are going to try to get the man down within the rules of the game.
They don'y care if they blow out the man's knee or not.
A violent game played by violent people.
