With Tennessee this Thursday and then Green Bay in 2 weeks are pretty much MUST win games for the Steelers if they wanna make the playoffs in this tight AFC. You gotta be able to beat Quarterbacks like Will Levis and Jordan Love at home and get to 6-3 before you go on the road for those back to back games in the division against Cleveland and Cincinnati. A loss in either one of these games and this team is not making the playoffs. And with as bad as this offense continues to be in the 1st half of games every single week winning both of these games even though they are both very winnable games is no sure guarantee at all.

Does it really matter? This team is a dumpster fire.

We don’t have a guaranteed win the rest of this season. If I was another team playing us I would think we are the guaranteed win for them!

Playoffs?!?LOL. We have no talent and the team is being lead by a coaching staff that just wants to collect a paycheck.

I said I was hopeful. I’d expect any normal fan would be “hopeful “ that we could make the playoffs.

We got a ton of sh!t to clean up before we talk playoffs...Just want something to gel on this team. Bad o line, sporadic qb play, inconsistent wr play, non existent tight end, not to mention the run defense and the jv playcalling....That's alot to overcome in one season

With the Bengals coming on now as well and the Ravens continuing to win you gotta get these next 2 games at home and get to 6-3 going into the back to back games in Cleveland and Cincy. A loss in either one and I’ll say it again I think they miss the playoffs. You can’t lose to either Tennessee with a rookie QB or to Green Bay with Jordan Love who has been god awful at home you gotta win both of these games.

With this offense we have no hope, just let it go.

Now with our 2nd best defensive player out, defense will start to struggle.

Steelers have about one method of winning and that is usually make the other team beat itself.

Teams that average 1 offensive TD per game don’t make playoffs Minkah is huge loss uphill battle

Amazing this game sucked as badly at it did. I was very hopeful and expecting a better game. Joe Haden and James Farrior were at this game and they had to witness this crap. Tomlin spoke to them before the game and said something about " taking care of business for them today" lol

With this remaining schedule there is no excuse for the Steelers to miss the playoffs. You have 4 games at home with the Titans, Packers, Cardinals, and Patriots you should and quite frankly damn well better win, a game at Indy that is very very winnable and then you take your chances in the 4 other road games at Cleveland, Cincy, Baltimore and Seattle and if you get just even 1 of those and you win those other 5 I mentioned that gets you to 10 wins which should be enough to make the playoffs.

If this team misses the playoffs yet again with this cakewalk schedule then Tomlin needs to go at the end of the year. I know it won’t happen but at some point he has to start being held accountable for this team failing year in and year out. It’s time and it better be at the end of this year if this team misses the playoffs. He won’t be fired but you sure as hell don’t give him a contract extension either going into his final season.

Doubt they beat Tennessee probably beat GB who is worse than us then they will lose to Browns and Bengals that’s how I see it. The Titans kid is good and Henry might get 200 yards that’s a tough game

It's not really will Levi's and Jordan love we have to beat......
With Levi's being a rookie, and love struggling, we need to expect a hefty dose of Derrick Henry and Aaron Jones, which could be a problem considering the state of our current run defense

I wish there was a way to stretch the bull**** icon bigger for this post

We have a lot of talent maybe not enough but to state no talent is :bscow:

And to say any coach just wants to collect a paycheck is even bigger :bscow:

Although at this point in time no matter what Canada wants his paychecks are limited

Minkah being out severely cripples the secondary tremendously given how critical he is in terms of both communication and playmaking capability (none this season but still a major factor). Even accounting for Minkah, the rest of the team, namely the Offense, has not shown they can win a game. Kenny potentially being out is even worse given what the team saw with Mitch Trubisky.

I do agree that the next two games will define the Steelers Season. I also can forsee a scenario in which Pittsburgh loses to both Tennessee and Green Bay.

I agree that is the normal thought process, but if making the playoffs by some miracle to just get blown out and that leads to no major changes because management is under the illusion that we are close and making progress then that is the worst possible outcome in my opinion. As fans we need them to use some windex on their eyeballs and see the obvious, massive change is needed. O line needs massive overhaul (new center, Right tackle and another guard) and full coaching staff needs to be turned over.

We have an A+ player in TJ Watt and a B+ player in Alex Highsmith. Minkah is often injured and a hopeful prospect with JPJ. The rest of the defense just isn’t that good especially stopping the run. Our corners are junk and the way Burrow looked yesterday he could probably put up 500+ yards and 6 TD’ against this crappy secondary. On offense we have a WR who thinks his best route is to run the wrong way most of the time and an incredible talent who can’t keep his brain in check. ST’s we have an awesome kicker who got hosed by a blind DEI checkbox of a referee and a punter who is inconsistent at the worst time. The coaching staff has failed to produce a quality team worthy of bringing fear to opposing players. Many of whom mock them time and again due to predictability. Our OC should even be near a football stadium nevertheless coaching in one. Our DC has players getting picked apart but really isn’t completely his fault because of the highest rate in history of offensive 3 and outs. Our owner fails to see a problem in this mediocrity. I love the Steelers but I am tired of this nonsense.
