    1. Great win by the refs

    2. Losing Minkah really hurt... especially on the Etienne td

    3. Mitch Trubisky stares down his receivers and throws in heavy coverage as if he were still a rookie.... totally unacceptable

    4. Presley Harvin rediscovered his inconsistency

    5. Dan Moore and Chuks were abused

    6. Porter Island is very real, and should be made permanent even when Levi returns

    7. How many middle screens was Etienne gonna get before adjustments were made

    8. The ilb's were the stars of the defense

    9. If Pickett can't get back soon, the season is lost

    10. Canada still needs to go, but Diontae's drops on the 1st drive were particularly ugly

    11. Once again we were badly outcoached on both sides of the ball

I agree with everything except for 9. This season is basically lost either way. It actually kinda sucks that they managed to get lucky and win more games than they should have - we could really use some high draft picks.

I would add, defensive strategy needs to change. Yes, they may get a lot of sacks but they give up a lot of drives. Undisciplined, can't get off the field. TJ and Highsmith don't keep contain and offenses use their over pursuit against them.

2 and 5 practically sums up the game; refball or otherwise. The Offenses ineptitude, even with Kenny in, has been the same tired story since Canada took over. Today was different as Canada did call a good game but still much of the same old... same old...

Regarding six @blackandgoldpatrol@blackandgoldpatrol, I agree wholeheartedly. I also realize that, in the event that Levi Wallace gets healthy, Joey Porter Jr will be sent back to the ben- oh excuse me, "situational downs".

I was going to start a thread on this but this statement #3 is so spot on.

Ive never watched Trub in college but watched plenty of him in Chicago and he never seemed to throw downfield.

He comes to the Steelers and its like the guy made a career not being able to read defenses.

I dont know if Canada plays to his strengths or what but there is no way to fix this I dont think.

I dont think Trib would turn it around in a Shanahan run offense.

I dunno, man, the defense is the only thing keeping us from being winless. (Well, that and Kenny Fourth-Quarter.)

Their record is 4-3 but if they had not been that lucky in some game, their record would be 1-6 with the only win vs raiders

We are last in the division in point differential. Not a good sign.

Draft picks won’t matter Mayor Mike has only coached playoff wins in 4 seasons he’s coached for 17 years let that sink in he’s terrible

... and Broderick Jones might as well be a Bugatti Divo (only 40 examples ever made) at this point. I am all for him developing and learning. However, given he does have one NFL start under his belt, why did it take until the start of the second half of the season to incorporate him into tackle eligible plays on short yardage downs?!?!

    Good job, B&GP. Might I add;

    12. The offensive line is still an issue, as much or more than last year. They really don't do anything at a high level. They might be an adequate group with Humphrey at center. they don't use their TE when he's healthy anyway.

    13. The defense struggles to stop the run. It is also vulnerable to competent NFL QB's.

    14. Bears repeating that this team relies far too much on splash plays by the defense. It didn't really help today.

Nobody worth their salt is throwing in the towel only 7 games into the season. Always play to win. Always.

Never apologize for a win. You can criticize things within the game and individual performances and scheme, but don't ever actively root for a loss. That's just wrong in every way.

Every team benefits from being lucky, the refs gifted the Browns wins against the 49ers and Colts.

And they are probably top 10 in turnover ratio and sacks.

Unfortunately a write up after a game like this is a waste of the extended life of the springs in your keyboard.

Would KP lasted a season on the astroturf of Three Rivers?? I’m starting to think the safety of grass is offset by our field being torn up needing new sod during the season which leads to grass not being firmly rooted. I always have believed some of the knee and hammy injuries we have suffered at Heinz over the years were caused sometimes by this.

While it's easy to say everyone sucked today, I still look at the final score and see a D that held their opponent to 20 points, was the play good overall, no, but they gave their O an opportunity to pull this off, the O as usual was putrid. The D needs work no doubt, and has for sometime, that in itself is something we might never see until forces above us realize our scheme is not truly something you can win with, but it is hard to even know how to address things when our O is this lousy.

While I can agree with pczach, you never desire to lose, the reality is this is not a good team as constructed and wins may come, but to stick heads in sand and say we do not suck is something I cannot do.
