The Steelers over the last decade have given me plenty of reasons to be negative, I don’t have to search very long.

Better. I'm not sure why people are so impressed with Seattle, but still fair.

Well it is going to be taking on a lot of chemistry and teamwork on all sides. The defense is rock elite. The OL however needs so much work.

I like it when the power rankings ignore the Steelers. Down the stretch of the season, nobody sees them coming!

Power rankings were invented to give the talking heads something to entertain us with during the wait for Sunday.

I feel the same way about Miami. They played two good teams so far and they lost both of them. Everybody else is a bottle of the barrel team this year.

I forget who the host was on the NFL Network after the game last Sunday but he said the Steelers remind him of Michael Myers from Halloween. He said Michael is always slowly stalking someone and they get up and sprint away from him. Miles away and thinking that they are safe in their room Michael is seen creeping up from behind them. You can shoot him, electrocute him and set him on fire but he still survives. He said the Steelers are like that, they have 3 first downs and no TD's going into the fourth quarter, the other team is sprinting ahead and is seemingly out of reach but when you look at the scoreboard at the end of the game somehow the Steelers have survived again.

I rank only the top 14 playoff seeds, so I have Minnesota at #14 even though there are other teams with better records.

    1. KC - defending Super Bowl champs, tied with best record in league
    2. Phil - best of a top heavy NFC
    3. SF - needs to stay healthy
    4. Balt. - depends on their matchups
    5. Buf - winning despite flaws.
    6. Dal - like a box of chocolates
    7. Mia - beat a good team
    8. Jax - if they beat Steelers, I move them to #4
    9. Sea - solid #4 seed in NFC
    10. Det - need the running game to be effective
    11. Pit - all depends on how the offense and secondary play
    12. Cle - Watson a non-factor; coordinator a factor
    13. Atl - weak NFC after top 4
    14. Min - could still win the North.

This week will be huge for the Power Rankings. A win gets us top 10 a loss and we are outside of 15. The suspense is killing me!!!

Regardless Steelers won. They don't put an asterik beside the ugly wins. If anything you could say the other team lost because of piss poor play and could not finish a game.

Yes but we’re talking about rankings not actual win loss record. In the context of ranking a team a solid win vs an ugly win matters.

These rankings mean nothing and how they come to rank is BS. Arbitrary rubbish based on nothing. If someone could actually explain how they come to these rankings perhaps it would actually make some sense.

Rock elite??? Seriously? Granted we are 4-2, and in those wins the D has come up with splash plays to save the win, but in every game you can also credit opposing O's and or officials for helping out as well, that's part of the game, but rock elite no. Opportunistic, and luck, again part of the game, and they may well get better, but they are not elite.
