Him getting it to the one yard line was all the difference. It allowed us to QB sneak it in. I don't like our chances if he goes out of bounds at the 3. For all of his issues, heart isn't one of them.

That is true. Hell of an effort on that play.

Desire, effort and perseverance are not Najee's problem. His choice of where to run and how he is doing it are. He needs to realize he is a North/South runner and stop attempting to cut it outside and/or dance every flipping play.

Granted, it does not help when your Center is getting his ass kicked repeatedly; doubly so in your bookend tackles... save for yesterday. However, best way to get past a wall is to run through it in the NFL.. not around it.

Agree. I said that Sunday- he needs to run straight downhill every time and him taking handoffs out of the gun is stupid. He needs a head start, not taking the ball 3 yards in the backfield, flat footed. More dumb sh$t from Matt Canader.

    Just a point of clarification

For drainage reasons the field has a crown of 2’-4’ depending on the field and tappers to the sideline

If he runs north and south he is running on flat ground

If he runs towards the sideline then he is actually running down hill

Whatever that play was where Warren got the handoff going straight ahead…do that more…

He’s a heckuva an easy guy to root for. Heart, desire and effort are not his issues. I hope he really turns it on the remainder of this season and helps lead the team triumphantly into the post season. I’d like to see him really give the Steelers a lot to be thinking about when deciding whether or not to exercise his fifth year option. Right now I’m afraid it would be a no.

Same. Hope we get some things ironed out so he can see more success. He needs to fix things

I'm in total agreement with you on all the points you made. Would love to see him running angry in the playoffs.

I thought so when I first read it, but then I started thinking maybe some fields I haven't seen are built differently.

That play is called “Go to the Flipping Goal Line”. It used to be the most common play but Matt Canada substituted it with the incredible ineffective “Jet Sweep”. He seems to get upset when the offense audibles away from his dreamy plays.

I think they might, but i would be stunned if they gave him a second contract.

He’s already hinted he’s going to want more than market value

    I see a LB.2 coming

He would be snatched up like hot cakes by another team like KC in a minute if that's the case. I hope he's able to remain longer with the Steelers but that's business.

And don't think for a minute that JEH figured this all out by himself. I was there with him right after we staked out the pyramids. A couple of old Engineers just advancing civilization.

But you were the one with the crooked T Square that did the drawings for that tower in Pisa

    Just saying

For a big RB like Harris he really needs 20-25 rushes a game to do his thing, but he won't get that many carries in this offense, he can't be too happy with 10-15 carries a game.

They could sign him to a short term second contract, it's not like they're paying big money to a QB, Cam will be off the books soon and maybe Diontae too.
