Matt Canada is completely in over his head when it comes to developing a downfield NFL passing attack.

 

See I told you the Steelers suck.

 

I mentioned a while back, at start of season. Some playcallers have a knack for calling a game.
Unfortunately we don't have one. Or a person that can design an effective pass or run game. Mason Cole could have a REAL problem with Aaron Donald. another PITT superstar/soon to be be HOF.

 

I remember the draft of Aaron Donald, and I thought "I know he may not 'fit' exactly into our scheme, but couldn't this guy be special enough that you adapt your scheme to him and draft the guy regardless?" Donald was taken 2 picks before ours and we took a heck of a player in Shazier (who got tragically injured at it turned out). But I doubt we would have drafted Donald if he was there at our pick. Other than Cam, this team hasn't exactly been visionaires when it comes to drafting DLmen. I don't think Tomlin understands what you need in 3-4 DLmen, so it would appear.

 

wasn't glenn thomas brought in here to help the passing game? everyone seemed so excited about that. what happened?

Canada is a control freak like the head coach. There is a story out there in where he doesn't ask any input from his assistants when he puts a game plan together. He makes up the game plan and they execute it. Been working just peachy

 

Well I guess the Rooney's are atleast saving on overtime, because he has been using the same game plan for 3 years.

then who's fault is that, if he won't let the guy hired to help that part of the offense have any input? rooney, omar, weidl or tomlin. cannada has 4 bosses. tomlin has three. weidl has two. omar has one.

 

Canada is the same coordinator that didn't let a HOF QB audible or throw into the middle of the field.

The guy is the antithesis of offense.

I read somewhere they might take some things away from Kenny moving forward.

Whenever I read the name “Glenn Thomas” my mind hearkens back the the Steelers’ 70s defensive backfield with Glenn Edwards and JT Thomas.
