Najee already lost weight from what he weighed in college .

It's hard to say, but I see more value in retaining Warren. I like Najee as a person, but they are both playing behind the same line.

It might have something to do with the system or lack thereof as Warren appears to be a quicker, athletic back with better speed.

Najee really needs to take handoffs from a QB under center to get a head of steam. If he can hit the hole accelerating, he pushes forward with violence on contact. I have been on record ever since the minute he was drafted that picking him in the 1st round was a bad move, but he is a solid RB in the right circumstances. He is one of the most physical downhill runners in the game IF he’s able to hit the hole running (and has a hole to run through). He’s also a quality receiver out of the backfield and generates yac. We run him out of shotgun with no lead blocker way too much.

    1. When has Bell ever been right about anything.
    2. Longest run on the year is by Najee.
    3. yard per carry is more by Najee..
    4. Even with more carries Najee has less fumbles
    5. The guy that carries the most usually has less yard per carry not more.
6......so what makes you think Warren is better??? Besides the inability to actually see what's happening on the field.
    7. We need both, and if We only used one everyone would complain about running the wheels off.

It's weird it's like the guy doesn't know how to run a football sometimes. He's way to hesitant.

We all wanted to compare to Bell but the reality is the vision and acceration is not there even close to what Bell had. Bell also did have an excellent offensive line which pushed the holes open, but he'd still have done better with this line than what we have now.

I've been patient with Najee but the harsh reality I am even telling myself now is that i'm just not all that impressed.

Our run game is not a threat to anyone.

I think he’d be more productive with better blocking and more runs out of power rather than zone blocking.

He came in last year heavier than he was before, the media kept bragging about him being "more muscular." It didn't help and his bulk isn't helping him this year. He's still only doing 3.9 ypc once again.

Have you seen the blocking? There's two or three guys in the backfield as soon as he gets the ball, what's Warren averaging YPC?

Yeah true but I have to say sometimes when the dude has some blocking he is not hitting the hole.

Like he's hesitating going east and west. The guy is big go north and south

Did you watch last week's game? If you did, you must have noticed the difference between touches by Najee and touches by Warren. They were not even in the same neighborhood. Warren's touches had far more oomph in the effort.

Also if you watched, Warren's best run was because they faked to Najee.

I do remember a stretch where Najee was out last year and Warren was the main guy. Didn't do much did he? I think in order for Jalen to be successful, you need other teams to prep for Najee. Then you hit them with the Warren punch.

Harris is only on this team for 2 more seasons. Why are we worried about it?

I believe that if the offensive line starts playing better everyone won't care who's getting the ball because they will all look better.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I wonder how much plays into the fact that Najee is our number 1. I do think Warren is a nice compliment and should split time, but don’t know that he would do much better than Najee as the number 1.

and yet Najee has a better yard per carry avg....I get that Warren makes splash plays and looks more effective, but over the long haul Najee has still shown that he is in fact more productive.
