Should the Steelers make some moves before the trade deadline?

The trade deadline is October 31st maybe they could find some more help in the secondary, or another center.

We can definitely use a center, Cole has been getting mangled out there. The question is, are there any teams out there willing to trade a good starting center? Highly unlikely. They'll more than likely have to wait and address that issue in next years draft.

    Hmm...

In terms of trading partners, Denver and Carolina are two of the easiest teams to identify. As for needing secondary help, while not ideal, Jaycee Horn could potentially be an option assuming he returns. As of now, he is injured but when healthy, can make a major difference overall. That said, what will Carolina want other than a Number One Receiver?! Clearly Diontae cannot be traded away for he is needed. Draft Capital but given how Carolina is in dire need of a First, unless Omar and the Steelers clearly see something about Horn Jr's rash of injuries and how to correct them, this is not happening. Jeremy Chinn?! Would be a valuable mutli role DB bit given how the team loves Chandon Sullivan because... reasons... I don't expect the Steelers to inquire about him either.

Denver trading away Lloyd Cushernberry III would be a good idea. However, I don't think there is currently any indication of Payton wanting to jettison him. Garrett Bolles is a player that will be offered but at age 31 along with playing Left Tackle?! Little to no use for him. Dream scenario is Patrick Surtain II but it is going to require a first, a second and a third or player.. minimum. PS2 is a Top Five Corner stuck in a terrible situation. The team did trade for Minkah way back when in 2019 when no one thought it should be done. Perhaps it can be done once again. That said, I don't expect PS2 to be moved at all barring an extreme offer Sean Payton simply cannot turn down.

As for other teams looking to trade?! The Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots and New York Giants are also team based considerations. However, none of these teams have players the Steelers should be interested in.

Now... if the Steelers wanted to add another WR in the room?! That opens up Pittsburghs trading options a lot. Biggest net prize would be Jerry Jeudy.

Have to say center also. I don’t get it, Cole was good last year. Maybe he’s playing hurt

Why bother? It's not like we are one player away from contending. No sense in trading at this point. Stick to the long term plan.

It would be a luxury, but I like Courtland Sutton. He isn’t a number one, but can be a key contributor. Kinda like a Tyler Boyd.

I guess most people would say Juedy though.

He is getting bull rushed and can't handle it. Right into Pickett's line of sight

Trading will require Draft picks, unless swapping pick positions. I do know Omar is not afraid of making moves.
Then there is the disaster known as Canada's Offense. I'm not sure if you manned that with HOF members in their prime that mess could work.
I'd like to release Canada and go with Sullivan to finish out the year.
Additionally, I'd like to add Mike Munchak or an equivalent. That would be a big help. (That would be hard to do, so it's just a reach on my part)

Currently they keep raving about practice squad moves, which can help depth possibly but will not impact the starters.

So, for me the first priority in the upcoming off season would be to work on staffing the coaching.
I'm 50-50 on Tomlin, but he's got to go outside the organization.
It's fine to promote from within as long as the talent is promising but I think they need some fresh outside talent. Mine the college ranks some to bring in some new ideas.

Hoping we can trade another disgruntled #3 receiver for the top pick in the 2nd round. Worked out well last year.

Why bother over a trade vs just drafting a guy? Makes no sense, trading costs 2-5x as much, unless you think we are just ONE player away from winning it all. "Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep, this just in: we are not."

Why the Steelers are a 8-9 win team at best and offensive shortcomings will eventually catch up to us.

he needs help, maybe a guard can help. This is where communication comes in, maybe a blocking TE or FB could help also picking up any extra rusher (they should’ve kept D Watt)

What would the Steelers have to give up to get another team to take him?

    Correct.

I was merely stating so in terms of a wildcard case. Not so much someone I would shell out for.

    As I would I!

That said, Sean Payton nor the Broncos are giving up PS2 for one First Round pick. Gonna need multiple picks and possibly a player for PS2 is still on a Rookie Deal.

    Nor do I.

Still, wish the team could get him! Jaycee Horn may be more obtainable but he is an injury risk overall. Not willing to roll the dice on him given how the team already has a low risk, high reward CB in Cory Trice.
