What do you want to see during the Bye

They need to rethink Naj Harris’ role in this offense.

Everyone knows when he is going to run. Teams just crash the line and he has nowhere to go.

Also, he is used so blandly because all they do is hand him the ball…Ben threw to him a lot more than Kenny/Canada do ….it was very effective.

Give him more to do to keep teams guessing.

 

1. Stressing OLB contains, especially with running QB's. We tend to over-pursue and can be taken advantage of on cutback/misdirection runs.
2. Some tackling/wrap up drills for God's sake. Show how the great LB's from the Steelers wrapped up, basic tackling fundamentals.
3. Integrating JP Jr into the the secondary which entails who you sit Levi or Pederson.
4. Add some new wrinkles from interim OC including more first down passes and play action after several successful run plays.
5. Sort out who will be taking KR/PR if Austin is not fully cleared to play.
6. Fix obvious tip of how Najee lines up, slightly behind KP it's a run, at or slightly in front of KP its a pass.

#5 - Dez King was taking KR vs Baltimore. Plus he has 100 punt returns over his career. I don't think that 1 play is over-use of a DB. I like Dez for KR/PR myself.
#6 - This has been an issue over the years for multiple teams and I cannot understand why it keeps happening. It has to be one of the first things defensive coaches look to when starting their game plan for the week. Of course it's a problem for this offense, but it's not only a problem for THIS offense. It must be cleaned up before moving on to anything else. Just stupid.

They selling any good CBs or Centers? I'd certainly take Surtain.
