He either got really lucky or he pulled a Coke Trickle and put the engine into the red to get out of the race car.

With a bye coming up this makes little sense unless it was never serious to begin with. Even a bone bruise would keep him out at least one game.

Tomlin did say how well he operates during the week will dictate if he plays. If anything though, I'd agree. Sit him for allowing him to remain out there, against a Ravens Front Seven no less, is asking for trouble on its own.

Add in that dumbass of an OC?! Magnify the likliehood of injury for Pickett.

I say play him, you can't baby him and expect him to get any better at the game. Put the pads on and and let him showcase what he is made of. Worst case he plays like crap this year and we may get a top 10 pick.. draft another QB and move on from him

Personally I don't think he is very tuff, but that's JMO

Mixed feelings. It's not like he has set the NFL on fire with his mobility or passing accuracy so far (as he did at Pitt). So it's hard to say how a banged up knee will affect his play. Making matters worse, the Steelers rarely ever have good rushing stats against the Ravens no matter how bad the Ravens are record-wise or who our RBs are. Even the Bus couldn't shake free in those games. Turnovers by Ratbirds may be only chance of pulling this out.

If they really believe that he's the future, sit him. Let him heal and let him get his head situated over the bye week. He's jumpy and is panicking at pressure that is there or perceived.

I agree, sit him for this week and then there is the bye. Give him a couple of weeks to get his act together. Trubisky moved the ball well against the Ravens last year when he wasn't throwing interceptions all over the place.

Just a thought, maybe a little pain in his knee might make him play better, might make him not run out of the pocket and maybe he will want to get rid of the ball quicker. hummmmm

He is rushing decisions as it is, so I'm not sure it will work that way.

They should sit him. Tell him and everyone else it's to be sure he's healthy, but I think sitting him is the best approach.

Well I guess if you want to become a Steelers Captain Legend, you beat the Ravens with one leg.

Then what do we complain about next week Hahahahahahaha!

If Kenny goes on to play great and lead the Steelers to a SB, I will be sure to send something extra nice to the NFL script writers.

They need to live or die with Pickett for the entire season. We know Mitch and Mason are not the guy. If Pickett isn't the guy then take your high draft pick next year and do what you have to do....if the turns it around then great.

Canada is a problem and I really think they may fire him before the bye week. It would give Sullivan 2 weeks to take over as opposed to 4 days.

We need Kenny to play if he’s able to. This team isn’t winning anything this year much more important to analyze him and see if he improves through year 2. He probably gets next year regardless but if he really sucks all year IDK maybe they look.

    And Trubisky did??
Come on Trubisky is worse. Everything people are complaining about KFP is what Trubisky has done all of His career(except one year), bails on the pocket, can't see open targets, makes bad decisions, and can't throw deep. Even in Trubisky best season ever....he was one of the worst Qb in the league throwing deep.

What has Sullivan done with KP that would be grounds for a promotion? If the thought is that he couldn't do any worse, that may or may not be true. JMO>

There’s no reason to play him this week.

He’s facing a very good defense and his confidence is already shot.

I’m at this point also convinced he’s probably not ‘the guy’. If he progresses he could be on ok stopgap, but the team needs to begin looking for their next QB soon. They may want to prioritize hiring a real OC and drafting competent OL first though.

I hope he plays. I see no real benefit in sitting him if he can go. He either has it or he doesn't. Sitting him isn't going to help him figure it out.

Truth of the matter is he still gives the Steelers the best chance to win. We all know how bad Trubisky is and Rudolph isn't the answer either.
