Tomlin should’ve been fired years ago.

    Why not?!

Hopefully it can scare him enough to craft a gameplan.

Glad many of us have not been the only ones thinking about it for a while. Hell, after game two against Cleveland, I wanted JPJ in to start for the remainder of the season. Same goes for Broderick Jones after the Raiders game. Darnell Washington should have been used a lot more in heavy 12 personnel sets long before the Texans game to ease him in.

Regardless though, none of this is a factor. Tomlin, Austin and Canadas overconfidence in players who are either clearly out matched or well past their prime is sickening; grotesque if anything. For that matter, we are past the revolting stage; beyond pissed off is where we, as fans are currently with this $#!T SHOW parade.

Should this continue, apathy can and will set in for this team; lots of money to lose no less. When that happens, perhaps then will AR II needs to do what must be done. As much as I thank him for everything he has done as a Coach, like Belichick, his best days are behind him as the game has passed him by..

Get rid of Tomlins ass! See to it that Austin and Canada are lockstep with his ass the same. All their contracts expire in 2024 so none of them will be left alone!!! :lolol::butcher:

You can't simply fall for "he's not starting week 1 as a rookie, so he sucks" thing. We did have great needs in round 1, and Offensive Tackle was one of those needs (as seen in the first 4 weeks of the season). If Broderick Jones is a staple top 10 LT for us for a decade, then we hit huge whether he started week one or not. Sometimes kids aren't ready. NFL is a man's game... Hard to expect a large number of kids to come in and be successful starting on day 1.

Whether or not you are interested in planning for 2024 is irrelevant. The team (and GM) HAS to be. GM's that draft for the present and not the future tend to not have a future in the league.

Najee has certainly not lived up to the billing of a first round back. I am not sold that he isn't better than his stats indicate, but he needs to be a lot better for the premium we spent to get him.

Tomlin sounded like a clown in the Tuesday press conference.

Never really heard that promoting failure led to good things and the Steelers doctrine continues to prove it now. JMO>

He glomed off of the staff Cowher put together and he slowly destroyed it. He eventually - when he was empowered to - only hired substandard coaches so as not to steal his light and eventually it tarnished productivity because Tomlin doesn't know what the hell he is doing Xs & Os wise.

One loss isn't going to force them to fire an assistant coach mid-season. There is plenty of evidence that he is terrible already, yet they not only refuse to fire him, but they also have Tomlin making excuses for him.

Art Rooney, Sr. was still the owner, but Dan Rooney was really running the show in the '70s.

Just a bunch of BS, per normal.

But real change is coming; Steeler fans have had enough of this Tomlin bull sh-t. The signs are now everywhere. Fans have had enough. I know some steadfast Tomlin apologists who are finally saying they've had enough and are no longer defending Tomlin for his bull sh-t. Tomlin defenders are now a serious minority. I've seen the signs pointing to fans no longer showing up for games, that will get Art's attention.

Do we trust Arians to tell the truth? I'm a fan of his work as a coach, but I don't think he is above tweaking things to make himself look better.

Tomlin is defending Canada because as the head coach, he should in most cases. However, we have been able to piece some things together lately that show Tomlin's hands are all over this offense as well. He basically admitted last week that Kenny Pickett isn't allowed to audible. It also sounds like that is Tomlin's call.

So Pickett is playing in Canada's awful offensive system and he has to stay in bad plays because the coaching staff won't let him audible to better plays to defeat the defense that is employed pre-snap. That means that if a running play is the called play and the defense has 8 men in the box and there are more defenders than blockers, Pickett has to run that play knowing it will fail, rather than being able to audible to a pass play or any other play to try to take advantage of the defensive set. That's what is leading to all these down-and-distance nightmares for Pickett. How many times are we seeing a play lose huge yards? It happens constantly in this offense. They have a young quarterback, yet they seem to be guaranteeing that he will be facing second down and 14 or third down and 12 all the time. No quarterback succeeds in those situations consistently. Nobody.

The NFL is too difficult for teams to consistently be running negative plays that put the team behind the sticks. It does not work. Hell, even when you take a penalty it is difficult to get a first down...but at least you get the down back. When there is a play that loses yards, not only does the offense lose yards, but they also have less downs to pick up the needed yardage for a first down. This isn't rocket science. These are real NFL scenarios that almost always lead to failure.

Tomlin can't name Canada as the sole problem because his hands are dirty too. The more that comes out, the worse Tomlin looks in this.

Also, Jones is apparently getting his first NFL start Sunday and Christian Gonzalez is out for the season with a torn labrum. Sure, that's hindsight, but so was the nonsense about Jones being a bad pick because he didn't start the first four games this season.

On this I do not know. I just know what He said in an interview I seen Him do , and He ,and His wife made it seem like Arians, Mike, and Ben were really close, and that it came from way above Mike Tomlin to let Him go, and that Mike tried fighting it.
You could be correct, and He was telling false, or half truths.

Yes, at the time Mike told Arians he’d be back, he said as much to the media and then suddenly Arians was out.

I thought that was common knowledge that Rooney forced Arians out. Their cute “oh he retired” schtick.

But I was talking about coaches still under contract, they had promised the DC job to Butler probably why LeBeau got forced out.
