Looks like he had Harris before he spun out, but would have been banged around in the collapsing pocket.

Well if you pick that up from before that defender crashed through to put pressure on him then yes, it was clean and Picket has two open receivers.

Do you mean Kenny cant stand in the pocket and take a hit to deliver a pass? Heaven forbid, he might get hurt, oh wait.

If he goes a step left and up, he's possibly getting stepped on by a fresh rookie. And he only had a split second until 96 reaches out from the ground grabbing his feet.

Kenny was on the hash mark. 96 was on the ground to where he could have reached over to the hash mark.

If articles would stop trying to act like pur live is "clean pocket", i wouldn't even be wasting my time on this.

Not what I'm saying at all. And I wish he would be comfortable taking a hit while throwing. But I'm also not going to act like it was a clean pocket. Because clean pockets do not mean you're going to take a hit.

Here's a couple of good pictures of that play. You can see Austin break open at the top before the defensive lineman broke through. Pickett had already turned. He may not have been able to step up but he could have stayed in the pocket and delivered to Austin. Problem is, he was locked in to the right side.

If he throws to Heyward it’s a first down and he doesnt get hit.

I've seen multiple reports that says he has a grade 1 MCL strain. We don't have access to the actual MRI report. A grade 1 MCL this would be consistent with "no serious damage" as has been reported.

The Steelers aren't required to provide every intimate detail of the report, but if you can find the report and actually contribute some useful information, I'll gladly accept being wrong.

Still betting he's out at least 1-2 weeks.

Since you are so smart, and obviously trained in sports medicine like I am, please explain medically how Kenny has only a "bone bruise" when his knee was twisted and bent. He didn't hit it on the turf nor was the knee hit by a helmet. The MCL was clearly tweaked.

Grade I and II MCL injuries don't always show up on MRI. In fact, MRI is only about 80% sensitive for detecting MCL tears, and most of those will be the higher grade injury.

I'm not sure why I'm a target for providing useful information to the group. I'll let you all figure it out for yourselves from now on since some of you are clearly smarter and better educated.

    No, but he likes donuts.

    The group likes donuts.

No offense was meant, just having some fun after a bleak game on Sunday.

Seriously though, have you ever tried the maple bacon donuts? I'd include a few of those, still a little warm out of the oven.

LoL. Qbs make their line look better. Did everyone miss how many times our D beat their OL , and the Qb made the right moves, and got rid of the ball to save sacks, and loss of yards. One Qb needs a O line, and the other needs a brick wall right now.

Yeah, the defender underneath Austin was leaving to cover Najee, so it was going to be wide open to Austin. Still, he had the easy pass to Heyward right in front of his face, which would have worked as well.

I feel a bit bad for getting so down on Kenny, but this is getting ridiculous. He shows no ability to see 1 second forward in time, even when he can see the direction and speed of the people moving. Is this easy stuff? For a HS QB, no. For one of the 32 QBs in the world that are counted as NFL starters this is elementary.

Did you notice how many times the Texans' OC moved a TE onto the shoulder of the RT so TJ Watt had to line up outside the TE's shoulder to make him go further to get around the tackle, plus make him go at the quarterback at a less advantageous angle to get there? The TE would chip Watt, then the tackle was put in a position to succeed. That's great offensive coaching.

    Canada apparently wasn't paying attention.

Did You notice how many times Stroud got rid of the ball, or stepped around a would have been tackle. It actually hurts Me to say this, but if We switch Qbs in that game....we would have had 5 sacks on KFP.
He's not seeing open targets, and He's not seeing who's coming, and who's not.

I saw Chris Hoke with his 3 little kids in Costco one day years ago

He may have been a big well known football player but at that moment he was just another dad with 3 kids running loose in Costco

Of course he's missing open targets. Nobody is saying he isn't making mistakes, but many of the things people see as mistakes may be part of the offensive scheme. The problem is there aren't that many open targets. In good offenses there are usually more than one read that is a possible throw. In Canada's offense, there just aren't many people getting open. The route progressions and the route trees don't allow for a lot of separation because they don't help create any separation with scheme or motion or formation often enough.

You keep claiming that he's not seeing people open and he is feeling pressure when there is none. Anyone that has watched the game broadcasts has seen the analyst showing the above view of the field showing how many times Pickett has nobody open to throw to. Nobody. That isn't made up. That isn't in people's imaginations. It is real, and it is happening to Kenny Pickett far too often. When you combine that with horrible offensive line play and an inexperienced QB, the results can be disastrous.
