You wrote that you were responding to the last sentence of my post. I didn't bring up the jet sweep. I'm saying that you don't see defenses taking things away so easily from offenses with better coaching.

I may have forgotten, but I didn't think I even mentioned the jet sweep in this discussion, so I'm not sure what that has to do with my posts. I thought it was a bit obvious early and it fooled absolutely no one. Since you brought it up, I just went back and watched that play again. Yes, Freiermuth whiffed on his block. Even worse, he stood around watching instead of trying to block someone else. That said, the 49ers saw it coming. Ferrell slowed Austin down, but there were three more defenders flowing into position right behind him. Austin might have gotten the corner if Freiermuth made his block just because he's so fast, but the 49ers were ready for it.

Nothing I wrote states or implies that players are absolved of all blame for their failures. That is what you made up.

 

Insisting that the offensive coordinator's poor work had no impact at all on the game is nonsense. Claiming that quarterback was terrible, but the poor coaching and line play were factors in his poor play is not.

 

the Steelers could win the next 2 of three at least. I think they’ll be at least 2-2. They do play well on Monday night and could beat the browns and end up 3-1. If they are worse than 2-2 I’ll really be surprised.

Canada stinks! He has to have the offensive fired up to play. His play calling is horrible. Yes the players must perform. But we need a better offensive of coordinator.

 

Well he is supposed to start opening up his play book!! Im not so sure how many more pages it has but this offense has to come around, too much talent there, n weres Friermuth, thought they were gunna use him like Heath, not happnin!
