I love these pre-game soundbites. Like, what's he supposed to say? "I'm absolutely ****ting myself about TJ Watt and I might call in sick that day"?

NO and I think he's just being truthful; if he was afraid of players like TJ he shouldn't be in the NFL. Stroud isn't about to get in the fetal position and just give up. And he might pose some problems for our D.

Everyone's got a plan until it's game time and TJ takes over.

Stroud is confident and he should be. He is a tremendous talent and he is playing extremely well.

Stroud can play ball, but the Steelers should feast on this line of the Texans.

This. Exactly. I also laugh when people blame our line for everything. I'm like has anyone seen Texans OL. Difference is Qbs can make lines look better, and Stroud so far has made his look better....like not running into traffic, and stepping not running away from it. Man I'm hoping We can make Him look bad Sunday. I don't think He has faced the pass rush like We have yet.

Our DL is beat to hell: Cam out, Larry O's foot still hurts him, Benton not playing enough, Leal unproven at best.

Yet they're still hanging in there leading the league in sacks and third in QB pressure %.

Where the Steelers are weak statistically is stopping the run, but the Texans are also dead last in YPC (2.8).

Beat to hell implies injuries. There is one player out with injury. Granted, that's a huge absence, but everybody else is playing. Unless something changed in the last few days, the only other one dealing with any sort of injury is Ogunjobi.

There are concerns, especially if Ogonjobi's foot causes him to miss time, but I'm not sure beat to hell is the right way to describe it.

A 3-4 D has 3 starting DLmen. Of those 3, one DLmen is out indefinitely and another of the 3 is not practicing due to injuries. So 2/3rds of the DL is either out or not practicing due to injuries. 66%. Where I'm from 66% is over 1/2 of your starting unit.

By that logic, the phrase is rendered completely worthless.

Now if you wanted to say the unit was severely limited by the loss of Heyward, you would have a point. They would be much better able to take advantage of the Texans' line with Heyward.

He might pose a problem, but that line is missing 2 tackles and has a guy named Green, I would not be ruffling feathers or he could be in for a long day. That said we have a way of depleted O lines and making them look like all pros, lol.

Agree with @Thigpen82@Thigpen82 on the matter.

CJ Stroud should not fear nor back down to anyone; T.J. Watt or otherwise. He is the Texans Franchise QB and must have faith in not just himself but his team. Now, if CJ disrespected T.J. by saying something like "T.J. is Good but I have faced much better", that would have been the NFL Media's top story of the day. Reminder that CJ Stroud called both T.J. and Alex great before stating such.

If we are talking about bulletin board material, the comments made by former Steelers Player Kendrick Green are a bit more noteworthy.

I was just thinking of the same thing in my head when I read your last sentence. This is where our team collectively (players and coaches) need to put a beat down on a team. We make games like this nail biters or worse yet we do exactly what your last sentence says and the low YPC ends up being a career day for someone. I want to see this D come out and totally dominate these guys like they should. I want to see our O line create some nice pockets and KP step up and make some throws to guys he should be seeing. I don't think KP has that natural pocket presence that Ben did to just step and find lanes when the pocket began to break apart but I hope he develops it. As others have said KP at times seems to run himself into the pressure vs naturally moving with the block and avoiding it. Let's hope both sides of the ball put together a great game. It's like being a young kid again I just wait for each game. I'm retired so I'm spending so much on here, watching old highlights/games and looking at any news article on the Steelers. Gonna stress myself out though!!

Stroud is the real deal. He has yet to throw an interception and threw for almost 400 yards against the Colts.

With the injuries the Texans have on the OL, the Steelers should get at least 5-6 sacks.
