Steelers Nation is well known for taking over another stadium making it seem almost like a home game such as last night against the Raiders.

Was the 49ers game the most visiting fans ever at a Steelers home game? There sure was a lot of red in the stands. Any other games come to mind where there were so many visiting fans at a Steelers home game?

Unfortunately for the Raiders I think most of their home game are going to have a huge turnout of visiting fans. I don't think they will ever have true "home field advantage".

The 9rs game seemed like not only the most ever but certainly the loudest. I told my better half we do this to them in their stadiums, they dont do it to us....but they did. One outcome of it was when we had the ball and their fans were cheering, our fans were trying to out cheer...I was like STFU

There have been games where the visitors have won and their fans make it down to the visitors bench, being in section 108, we are on that side and games like that it seems like there are a lot of visitor fans there....but not like this 9r's game.

NY Giants game several years ago. Don't know how it compared to the 49ers, but it was by far the most visiting fans that I've ever seen.

I go to a lot of away games and often Steelers fans take over the home teams stadiums. Seen it many times. This past week in Las Vegas was more than I have ever seen take over a stadium. One thing I don’t do and can’t stand is when the home team comes out and Steelers fans boo them. I feel it is very disrespectful and actually could motivate the other team. I do cheer loudly when our team takes the field. I do attend a lot of Steelers home games and have never seen more than about 10% opposing fans there.

    Class.

It’d be incredible if, when the visiting team ran out, it was hear-a-pin-drop silent.

I was at week 2 Monday nighter and the Burgh was rocking. Hard to believe what I saw week 1 on TV. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Steeler game 50/50 with away fans in my life and it had to at least be that! Might have even been 60/40 SF it looked awful.

Have not gone to many games over the years but been watching 60 years and that SF game kind of shook me up. Can't remember ever seeing a Pittsburgh Steeler stadium taken over like that. My buddies kept saying its a sign of the times. Money trumps fandom and our faithful are selling their tickets.

I'm guessing SF had some sort of thingy going on. One year the Philadelphia airport had 7 planes on runway filled with Eagle fans headed to Dallas. It was organized by many groups. I'm guessing that is what happened in SF.

Yeah I've never seen that many opposing fans pack our stadium. I can't even wrap my head around how it happened.

Are there that many people wanting money so bad they are fans of reselling, like how almost every team in the nfl is?

Or did 9ers pay people off?

Or was that a glitch in the matrix?

Or am I color blind? Or just flat out blind?

Sadly, it's a referendum on the local economy; Steeler fans are running out of disposable income and SF frans still have the $ to attend NFL games. I know SF has tons of media coverage on how destroyed their city is, but there are still enough 9er fans with more $ than Steeler fans, hence we saw what we saw with 9er fans dominating our stadium. Sad but true.
