Great question!! No seriously.. excellent question!!! :drinks:

With any luck, after the bye week. I cannot.. and I mean, CANNOT, put up with Dan Moore Jr anymore. Yes, having multiple different Offensive Line Coaches since you have gotten into the league is never good for development. Yes, you have taken your lumps... massively. Also yes, you did end up beating out Broderick Jones.

This all said?! The same, EXACT, problems Dan Moore has had as a Rookie are STILL not corrected. Hell, they are not even problems anymore... they are issues. Why?! Problems you can solve whereas issues you cannot. Anyone see how many violent shots Kenny has taken this season to his blindside?!

Now again, I get it; Broderick's collegiate starts are very limited in comparison to Dan Moore's. However, there is a massive reason why Broderick Jones was either the best or second best Offensive Tackle among his class. Furthermore, Broderick may have had his warts during the Pre Season but it would be safe to assume he has gotten better since then.... or at least has acclimated himself better.

Overall, there must be a change regarding the Left Tackle spot. Yes, Chuks has not played well himself but he has done far better than Moore could ever dream of in Pass Protection. Both are susceptible to speed rushers but at least Chuks can handle power rushers fairly well. Recall the Rookie Tyree Wilson of the Las Vegas Raiders?! Here is his production thus far via a tweet.

Prior to tonight's game, Tyree Wilson had zero, yes zero, pressures against the QB. I did indeed state he was raw coming out of Texas Tech but those immeasurable gifts man were just too difficult to ignore; the Raiders themselves thought so as well. Before last night, again, zero pressures. That has been upgraded to one.

Hey OP!! Guess who gave up that one?! :hmm:

In short?! Please oh please... after the bye week. If not?!... *Phew Boy....

Best of luck Kenneth Shane Pickett.... you will need it. :beg:

Unless he is injured enough to be put on IR Chuks keeps his starting job. It's not in Tomlin's coaching DNA to yank someone for average play or even the worst graded guy the PFF list in the first month. Other skill positions maybe they get in the "lab" and a newer guy gets a look but the won't mess with the OL chemistry if they can help it.

It does seem we wait to give rookies their shot. Perhaps he's not showing it in practice which would be frightening.

Why? He's a rookie. The book on him was that he is extremely talented and showed it at Georgia, but he was also relatively inexperienced. He was expected to take some time.

Usually they do but he is a #1 pick and OL so the way our OL has been grading out you would think they could figure out a way to begin to integrate him a bit. We are 2-1 so the urgency isn't quite as strong as if we were 0-3.

If run game continues to struggle, that is reason enough to me to yank Chuks.

That doesn't support your claim that it would be "frightening" if he isn't showing he is ready to start in practice. No, it wouldn't. We might actually have to show some patience as fans.

I get that it is frustrating, especially after watching Gonzalez play so well for the Patriots. (He is the guy I wanted there, though I was fine with them taking Jones just as I wanted Dax Hill the previous year, but was fine with them taking Pickett.)

Him and JPJ and TE and Heberg and Robinson all need to see the field more often,
This will provide great depth as the season progresses.

it would be, as in SUCK Draft pick. you don't trade up, rush to the podium, for your DREAM PICK and then he SITS? not in today's NFL, unless you have a STAR STUDDED roster, which we did not, DO NOT. Did we screw up here? you don't sit top 15 first round picks in this league, unless you screwed up.

    maybe we did......

tomlin thinks its 1998, where you draft guys and let them season.

    it ain't 1998.....

if no one noticed, we are not exactly lighting it up on offense.

This seems like the take of someone desperate to rush to judgement against a pick you didn't like. Sometimes first-round picks don't start right away, even in today's NFL. It doesn't mean they screwed up and he can't play. Sometimes throwing a rookie tackle to the wolves actually sets back his development. There are plenty of people who think that is part of Moore's problem, that he was tossed in there before he was ready. Also, offensive tackles often have work to do in developing their bodies. I don't mean that they are out of shape, but an NFL strength and conditioning regimen is different than what they got in college, even an elite program like Georgia.

He wasn't my first choice there, either, but to imply that he was a mistake already is just comical.

This team lives to "put rookies in their place" even if not wise. How many times do they have to re-prove it?

I hope he's not sitting because he's practicing badly. I tend to think he's sitting because Tomlinism is exhausting the chances Moore gets just like he did with Greene.

It would be interesting to see how many #1 draft picks from this past draft (non qb's) that are not starting. Broderick actually had commented that his practices at Georgia were harder so I suspect the NFL practices are not wearing him out. I don't think he's a bust I am just surprised he hasn't cracked the starting lineup. Ben actually thinks Moore has played well but his grading hasn't been good at all. My "frightening" comment was intended to imply if they don't think he is ready to crack the lineup, when our line is not exactly stacked with all stars, that would really suck because that means he is either a slow learner or lacking something. How many Georgia picks this year are already starting on other teams?

I just looked up the first round OL picks and of the 5 only Broderick has not started a game yet. Just surprises me that he hasn't cracked the lineup.

I'd love to see where somebody compared the two. It's quite clear that I compared their situations, not the people. You and Jeh are beyond creepy. I'm not leaving this site so you can both act like spurned little girls or be a man and move on and quit garbaging up the site with your hurt little feelings.

I also believe He has played well, and PFF ranking mean as much as Your ranking, and anyone else's. Only difference is they are getting paid for it. Doesn't make it good. Hell McDonald's sells probably more food a day than anyone in the world....it doesn't make it good food.
Moore has been blamed a lot of times for things that aren't His fault. Like LG let's someone go, the Qb runs straight into the lane He's trying to push the Defender, and so on. No He isn't the best LT in the world, but He is also not as bad as some say....not by along shot, and He has progressed every season.
Its why some of us laughed at people saying Jones would take His spot automatically.

Maybe not before too long. But, hard to say that Dan Moore Jr is a major issue.

Maybe Moore moves to RT if Chucks keeps sucking.

But, hard to say Broderick is rotting away, Give him time.

Plus with the likes of Bosa, Garrett, and Crosby in the 1st three weeks, that is lot to throw at a Rookie and he's a young Rookie he left college early.
