I know the media love to crown Aaron Donald as the best NFL defender in the league by far, at times I heard some analyst say he is the greatest NFL defender ever. And he has had a great career. But it's hard for me to say he is the best defender by far in the league. His resume is strong. He is a 3 time Defensive Player Of The Year, Defensive Rookie Of The Year, 9 time Pro Bowl selection, 7 time All Pro First Team selection, led the league in sacks one time, 2 time NFC Champion, and has a Super Bowl ring. You have to double him. I get the hype. But what T. J. Watt has been doing in mainly 6 years of his career in the league is incredible. T. J. Is a 3 time All Pro First team selection, 5 time Pro Bowl selection, 2 time sack leader, won a Defensive Player Of The Year award. T. J.'s ability to pass deflect at the line of scrimmage and the ability to get out of his stance and put pressure on the offensive line and quarterback is amazing. I truly believe if T. J. had played at least two more games in 2022, it would have helped the Steelers get an extra win or two, and ended up in the playoffs. He is a huge difference maker for the Steelers defense. I am curious about everyone's opinion on who they think the best defender in the NFL is currently. For me, it is hard to pick, when you have guys like Aaron Donald, T. J. Watt, Nick Bosa, Micah Parsons, Myles Garrett playing. But I do not agree that Aaron Donald is by far the best.

It’s TJ Watt for me hands down. He’s the definition of a game wrecker

Garrett - 1 total tackle, 1 QB hit
Watt - 4 total tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss, 1 pass deflection, 4 QB hits, 1 TD

one of these guys don’t belong in the MVP conversation

Parsons is a beast, i hate to say it, but at this point i give Parsons a very slight pubic hair lead over TJ.

Browns are receiving Karma for their moral less compass.
Paid all that money for a rapist, Watson.
Also for the race baiter which turned my stomach in which he accused Rudolph of saying something that noone else on the field heard, Garrett who is overrated!
    Karma is a bad MFer!

    This.

People shouldn't sleep from 11 in the Lone Star State. He is a hell raiser. In such a short time no less.

Two time First Team All Pro in his first two seasons?! That is not normal... at all.

Yeah Myles Garrett didn't say anything for a week after the helmet incident but right before his meeting with Goodell he makes up the lie about Rudolph.

TJ is a great player and future Hofer, but Parsons seems to be unblockable, similar to Lawrence Taylor. Dallas has only given up 10 points in 2 games.

Parsons and it isn’t close. I’d say TJ and Bosa are 2/3

The Steelers have gone against Bosa and now Garrett and in both games, Watt affected the game more. Parsons, on the other hand, is a whole other animal.

Thanks, I believe you. I must be listening to the national media too much. Watt has played against two better offenses this season also.

Is this supposed to be a consolation prize? Not interested. Don't care. Watt is a wasted talent at this point.

Concern is that Watt and the D cannot be expected to perform at this level all year. The O needs to carry its weight. Two games now where the opposing team had the ball 50% longer than we did. That’s not going to fly as the season wears on

Obviously Watt has played much longer, but so many times people get blinded by recency bias...

Watt has always been a great sack artist, But the

    Interceptions
    Forced Fumbles
    Interceptions
    Fumble recoveries

    Are also off the charts

That wasn't the question...The question was Watt vs Micah...

Dallas has much better personal around Micah...And, We also have Tomlin as a HC so
