Tomlin better not say the Oline blocked well again.

Pickett was awful, but the OL may be worse. Can’t run block. Can’t pass block. No idea what they’re doing out there.

When Picket had time, he made good throws. He’s not good at throwing on the run though.

The real problem is play calling. The designs and imagination on offense is putrid.

That being said Kenny doesn’t look like he belongs.

I just can’t figure what happened to his accuracy. Did someone have him change his mechanics? Change them back real quick.

I think his mechanics are erratic right now. You can see some good throws, like the bullet to Austin near the sideline. Maybe they made a change, but more likely the issue is between his ears. Maybe it was the pressure of the preseason hype combined with his offensive line getting its collective ass kicked for two weeks, but he is rattled. I doubt Tomlin would ever do it, but sitting him down for a couple of weeks might do the kid a world of good.

Yes, thanks for the English lesson, so you're at an 11 then?

I need to see him with another o coordinator before giving up. Canada has proved nothing since he has been here.

His moxie / IT factor is non-existent at the moment. This offensive scheme is doing him no favors, but he has to show some ability to overcome Canada's incompetence for me to believe he is the guy for next 10 years. My confidence is definitely starting to tilt to the dark side.

That is the odd part. That seemed to be a strength for him, but he's rattled.

no, he didn't. Can't throw a slant route if his life depended on it. Aikman said he - he just ain't that accurate.

he is struggling, he may be a bust.

    we will see.

One of Picketts biggest criticisms from last year and from college was how he routinely bailed too early, or left on clean pockets. Im sure this was been a point of emphasis this offseason, and he's definitely going a better job hanging in there this season. Probably even to a fault.

Im beginning to wonder if in trying to correct this, it's actually causing him to become uncomfortable and erratic?

I think of the STUD baseball player that tears it up in spring training, and then word gets out he can't hit the curve.... And then going forward all he sees are curve balls, and he is quickly out of baseball.

Someone pointed out elsewhere that Pickett changed his throwing mechanics in the offseason to get more zip on the ball. He postulated that is hurting his accuracy, which was very rarely an issue last year, and certainly not later in the season. He looks significantly worse than he did last year, and it's not that D coordinators have "figured him out". He's missing wide open throws that he dimed last season. Hopefully he gets it figured out, because the D isn't scoring 14 points a game the whole year.

I think the bit about Pickett changing his mechanics was just speculation.

I agree to a degree. What I've seen from KFP the last two weeks is indecision and accuracy issues. Some of it is being caused by the o-line getting manhandled by two good defenses. Some of it is that when he throws to an open receiver, he is sometimes missing badly. Right now, it's a perfect storm of stench on offense but, Pickett is the largest concern. I'd place my worry level at 7.

Anyway, to your point, I'd like to see how he does under a bona fide NFL offensive coordinator. Canada couldn't arrange a one car funeral. He's terrible.
