This is the definition right here...

    - NFL record 44 losses to teams .500 or lower.
    - 0 Super Bowl wins in 14 years.
    - 0 AFC Titles in 13 years.
    - 0 Playoff wins in 7 years.
    - 3 Playoff wins in 13 years.
    - Missed Playoffs 6 of 16 seasons.

Okay. You're crazy. Yes, the snowball effect may have been part of it, but the 49ers just dominated in every phase of the game. Part of that was losing Heyward very early in the game, but play that one 10 times and I'm not sure the Steelers win any of them. They were outclassed that badly. That doesn't mean they can't get better and even be a playoff team this year, but right now, the 49ers are a much better team.

Agree…Niners were better…but a different start and that game might have been 20-13 and everyone wouldn’t be losing their minds. It’s still only one loss.

At the end of the day it's just a football game. We can point fingers all day. The point is we lost. We got crushed.you can say it's tomlins fault or it's Canada's fault. But these guys get paid a lot of money to play. And I seen no passion on that field with the Steelers players.

Yea and how did those seasons end up? Steelers are an after thought they have been spinning their wheels for a decade zero identity the offense is from the caveman era and the defense is terrible. We need 2 three win seasons with some top 5 picks and not sure even that can help Tomlin and compsnyb.

Furthermore the ream came out flat and loomed unprepared on opening say against what many think is a Super Bowl team. How can you not be jacked up for that game. That is on the coaches!! a time out on a field goal attempt?? KFP blew a$$ no doubt about it but that also provides air cover foe the coaching staff as well.

Sure what we saw on Sunday might not be who we are. I guess the difference between the SB winners of the past and us is pretty obvious. You're talking about teams that have shown they can usually perform at a high level. They had the coaching and talent to win in the post season. What exactly have we done to show that we can perform at a high level? Go back the last 3 seasons. Last season. When exactly has our offense looked good? When was our defense good at stopping the run? The next time we play at a high enough level to beat good teams will be the first time in a long time. If we were a SB contender last season then sure I'd be happy to write this game off as a fluke. Fact of that matter is Sunday was just more of the same. Just before half time we had 1 yard of total offense and zero 1st downs. We couldn't move the ball until the niners went prevent and gave us yards.

The other concerning issue I saw was our ILB and D-line play. Our ILB's could not get to the sidelines. We were beaten up the middle and wide. Watching the game in person it was so obvious we were not setting an edge. Our ILb's were slow to the sidelines. The niners coaching staff didn't have to work too hard calling plays. That was a well coached team playing a totally unprepared / poorly coached team. On the bright side we can't get much worse. I expect improvement but not this week. The browns easily win this game as long as they don't make dumb mistakes and turn the ball over. That certainly could happen so we shall see.

But if you listen to the media, Canada was up to be offered a head coaching gig in the NFL, because he was doing THAT well with Pgh's offense. No?

Wasn't it just one person speculating? It wasn't like the media as a whole was pushing that nonsense. It was one person's clickbait.

Seems like past 3 seasons... the 0-line doesn't start playing OK/competent until mid to late October. Until some consistency is established on the O-line, the offense will continue to struggle. I hope the D shows up vs. Browns or this game could get ugly quick like the 49ers game. Steelers will have to keep it low scoring to have a chance to win. This team will not win any no-huddle, shootouts any time soon.

Well....Congrats! You found someone as ignorant as you with the insults and personal attacks.

That idiot you're quoting has been saying the same thing from the dawn of time. Not a single thing has changed in his schtick except some of the names.

You haven't discovered a shaman of Steelers wisdom. You have bought in on a troll that has been spewing this crap for many years, and a person that is actively avoided by most of us because he is a vial, ignorant ass.

Teams have tape on Kenny now and we have an inept offensive coordinator - I’m worried this first game could be a trend instead of an anomaly - I hope I’m wrong.
