I’m sure this fanbase is as frustrated as ours. I have not seen an update to your injuries, but I can provide some commentary on the Bengals-Browns game.

The Steelers can run on them. We ran very well, and we are not a running team, but our coach went away from it, as usual. We have the worst offensive scheme in the league with the most weapons, it is maddening.

Pickett also needs to run, the Browns sell out on their pass rush, there is no gap integrity in their pass rush. Burrow is still injured, couldn’t run whatsoever, not sure why he played.

They are playing man vs WRs, Pickens could have a day. Hopefully it is not a monsoon like we had, although Burrow’s timing was nonexistent anyway.

Watson missed several open WRs, he did run much better, but his arm is still not close to the Houston days. He had a negative EPA on drop backs, -12% CPOE. He telegraphs everything.

Our game was much closer than it looked. We had 7 straight punts (10 total), nonstop 3 and outs, absolutely zero passing game and the defense still held strong until the 4th quarter.

The Browns will be without Conklin and starting a 4th round rookie at RT. He is huge but Watt should destroy him. Slow down Chubb and contain Cooper and this is a bounce back win.

I know many are still pissed about the loss and probably do not want to hear from a Bengals fan, but I hope the insight adds to your conversations this week. Good luck.

Yes Joe Burrows injured calf will add a lot to our conversations. Thank you for that tidbit of wisdom.

All true but the Browns can run very well too hoping they don’t get 200 yards rushing myself. And sure Watt can help but that dude only plays not even half the snaps

Totally agree with all of that. Watson is a terrible QB, so overrated, but can run if you let him escape. Chubb is the key to their offense.

I just hope our line can hold up against their pass rush. Burrow was under a lot of pressure, and so was Kenny this week.

I'm sure once Burrow shakes of the rust and is fully healthy, he will be back to form. Can't let either the Browns or the Ravens win the division!

Chubb only had one good run in the 1st half. Due to the total ineptness of our offense the run D collapsed in the 4th. If Heyward is available Chubb can be contained. We held him to 34 yards in the previous game.

Jack Conklin is out for the year... That'll hurt their line quite a bit.

    Hey man!

Thanks for the kind words!! Welcome to the site!!! :steelflag:

I concur with Watson. He did in fact win the game but he still looks very much off in terms of his ball placement. As for Burrow, as you said, never mind him being just injured... he didn't even play in the Preseason; a new Offensive Line the same. Add those factors up and the Bengals performance looked a helluva lot worse than that loss should have been overall. That said, I am not worried about Cincy if I am a Bengals fan for Joe Burrow is the real deal. Week One is extremely weird anyways and yesterday was no different.

Best of luck to you as well!! If you ever return to the site and would like to DM someone to talk to, I'm your guy! :drinks:

Brutal first week for the AFC North; Conklin, Dobbins among the big names. Steelers have five starters limping (Cam, DJ, Pat, Daniels, Chuks).

Marcus Williams might also be out if the MRI Results come back positive via a Torn Labrum. That said though Lambert, cannot say you saw this coming at some point in the AFC North. It has, is and will always be a bloodbath to the finish.

Sure but it's Week 1 and all four teams looked bad. Wasn't expecting that.

Cincy though is a bit of an outlier here. Remember that Joe Burrow missed all of Preseason and essentially Training Camp with a Calf Strain. Clearly didn't look like the Joe Burrow many of us know from 2022. Hell, even then, during the first three weeks of last season, he started slow out of the gate.

Agree though about the rest. Even if the Ravens won... it wasn't a win that looked nearly as dominant as the scoreboard indicates. That said, it is going to take some time for the Offense to gel with Todd Monken's Offensive Schematics.

Many thanks friend. As a Bengals fan since the 70's I grew up hating the Steelers, which eventually grew into jealousy for obvious reasons. With social media the Browns and Ravens fanbases have become intolerable, we have our own idiots who chirp way too much without winning a ring, but we have been bad for so long... Steelers fans have always been the most knowledgeable and that is why I lurk on Steelers sites so often. Lots of good divisional info. Beat the Browns badly for the rest of us!
