Considering injuries to Cam and LarryO, looking like it's Bentons time to shine

At his age, that thing will take a long time to heal. They should just leave him sit on IR.

Somebody on the training staff needs to be fired. In fact, anybody on the training staff who had a part in evaluating Heyward after the injury needs to be fired. There is no excuse for allowing him to go back out there. Either the injury was already bad enough that it was going to require surgery or he did a hell of a lot more damage because they let him play. Either is an example of gross negligence.

That said, the defense is in big trouble. We saw how much they struggled against the run without him yesterday. I don't see that getting much better while he's out.

Heyward this season. Watt last year. Roethlisberger in 2019. I know injuries are part of the game, but damn, I'd like to see them get to Week 3 without something devastating happening.

I was SO excited for this Season ( not that it's over ) with all the new additions, Younger, Kahn making deals...Weeding out a lot of dead weight imo...

It's only ONE game but...They way they looked, Cam, DJ...We have to improve, a lot...

Maybe it is because there is so many new additions and being so young...and they lack cohesion... Let's hope

Looks like Fehoko is going to be brought up at least for the Cleveland game. He's a better run defender.

    Ugh groin injury.
Reminds me of a bunch of years back a LineBacker couldn’t shake it.

I remember Jack Lambert hopping off the field with turf toe, he was on and off that year, then retired. Cam is getting to that point.

Better than who? Maybe Adams, but certainly not Heyward. They just took a major hit in their run defense and their pass rush. They don't really have a quality interior pass rusher with him out of the lineup.

Yes, of course he's not better than Cam, but Cam is out. There's no maybe to it he is better than Adams in run defense.

They have a tough run game match-up coming, so it would make sense to elevate him for some run down snaps.

Hold the horses! There was an update!

They are getting a second opinion about the surgery option on Monday or Tuesday after swelling goes down.

He should go to DeShaun's masseuse. That'll bring the swelling down!;)

You are probably right about him being better than Adams, who I wanted to see gone, but I haven't seen Fehoko play enough to be sure of that.
