How about "my idiot outside linebacker, James Harrison?" Although that may have been detrimental to his health.

Man I REEEEEEEALLY dislike that guy! What a pansy whiner! There's also a video I seen of him once literally CUSSING AND RANTING because he was so mad at Jeff Saturday because OF COURSE it was Saturday that made the mistake. Yeah Peyton we all know you are the little golden boy that would NEVER open your mouth and say something stupid. I just wanna know when you've ever shouldered any blame? I seem to remember when Mora made his famous playoff comment it was because YOU just cost the team a win with an INT. But did YOU man up for it? NO! You had Jim Mora ran out of Indy because he DARED to question your excellence! Some guy at work the other day said "ALL Peyton does is win Super bowlS". I said "Really? I thought he only had one!" He said "Well he will get another". I said "How many does Ben have?" He could say nothing and slowly crawled away to be coddled by his mommy.

Do your parents know you're on the computer? Also he's played two games since the injury.

Please explain to me what positive thing can come of it to bash Haley in front of the media. If they want to keep it behind closed doors I am fine with it but to openly throw the OC under the bus in front of the national media does nothing but draw a line in the sand between the two.

Funny but I never heard Ben call out Arians for his terrible, awful, sh*tty playcalling and there was certainly ample opportunity. Just when I thought Ben was growing up he proves that he is still a jagoff.

Haley should explain to the media that his egotistical QB with the IQ of a sewer drain just isn't capable of running plays that require less than 8 seconds to develop and therefore we are still playing the old sandlot style. Give him a taste of his own fricking medicine.

By the way Ben that OT INT is all on you. He was covered and you didn't have to throw it. Congrats for ultimately losing the winnable game you jerk.

Another non-issue being forced into being an issue by the media (and some fans)

I'm guessing a lot of people haven't actually listened to the interview. Ben took a lot of the responsibility on himself, and most of the comments about plays being the wrong play had to do with the defense adjusting after it was called.

How does it appear to criticize someone else when you are the player that threw the game sealing INT? Maybe Ben was attempting to take some of the focus/heat off himself?

Wallace was open. The the delivery of the ball was late and the placement of the ball was a bit off. I don't believe any players should question coaches and teammates in the media. All players and coaches make mistakes. Coaches and players can point out each other mistakes if they so choose. The bigger men usually don't single each other out. Ben's looked unprepared the last couple weeks. Maybe it's because defenses have caught up to the Steeler's offense schematically?

How dare you ruin a good time! Stop injecting logic into a perfectly good Ben bashing session. It's people like you who disgust me. You sir are a wet blanket and should be banned immediately!

Yeah I think this time its a non issue. Ben has a bad habit of running his trap, but this time I think he took responsibilty for the loss (which really if AB holds on to the ball we arent having this conversation) and then was just saying after the D went to prevent or whatever it was, the call didnt fit the D.

First of all, he hasn't called anyone out, as it's been pointed out several times in this thread. Secondly, Ben never should have been in a position to throw an interception in OT had Brown held onto the ball in regulation, you should be bashing him, that's at least 2 games he has cost us this year. Ben only has 6 picks the whole year, can't expect them to never make mistakes. Ben owned that int, he took full responsibility for the loss and never once threw Haley under the bus.

    :this!:

I have thought this for a long time. Remember Isiah Thomas's regrettable rant about Larry Bird, following an anguishing playoff defeat? Or in 2003 when Roy Williams cussed out a reporter after Kansas lost the title game to Syracuse? I know we expect these guys to act like professionals and be professional, but reality is, these guys are also very emotional. Sticking a mike in their faces, after a grueling game or match is just asking for trouble. But maybe that's why they do it.

And, Dallas was not in prevent (as Ben stated)...they were in cover 3. It was a bad throw. Throw it to the opposite side of Wallace for a completion/incompletion, and doubt this is even a conversation.

Did Ben mention anything about him throwing the ball to the ground when aiming for Dwyer? Watching that play again, Heath and somebody else were wide open up the middle, but Ben thought it would be a great idea to throw it at Dwyer's feet instead? :applaud:

scroll down to Dwyers incomplete pass ,,photo #9 ,,I think that's heath wide open up the middle.

Ben talks with media today about apologizing to Haley, Tomlin, and Rooney for the post-game comments.

No huddle the rest of the year!!! Up-tempo the crap out of our opponents! It can and should work! IF we make it to the playoffs, two teams that we could potnetially face (Cheatriots and Broncos) will both run the no huddle and keep up a much quicker pace! Seems to work for them most of the time and I know, they have Brady and Manning, but geesh, we have a much better core of recievers (hang onto the ball, first please) and a pro-bowl TE in Heath! Why not do it? We're 7-7 can't get much worse, can it?

So, if they decide to let Ben free with the no huddle we have...

Ben (who doesn't study film) calling a limited number of plays from Haley's so-called "Rosetta Stone"

    VERSUS

Opposing HC, DC and Defensive Captain (who study film) working with a full defensive play book

How long before everybody starts shouting, "NO MAS!!!!"????

Well, minus your judgement (as I'm sure all players have to study film; this is a mention to the perception that Ben is not as studious as Peyton), Ben vs the three is still not good odds. There's a reason for an HC and OC. More no-huddle, maybe... total no-huddle... not a good idea.

And to be clear... this isn't about how good a QB Ben is... I wouldn't be in favor of Brady, Peyton or Brees running total no-huddle and going against the three... Just not good odds.

Was just having a little fun. He never said total no-huddle though, just more of it. I agree with him, last weeks interception not withstanding, we usually do good when he runs no-huddle.

Agree. I've never been a fan of reporters having access to get in someone's face before they have the chance to mentally, emotionally, and psychologically absorb and process what has just happened (in a loss).

To a larger extent, this is a problem with our media, in general.

It's like they are just waiting to find any sound bite to spin out of control. What happened to fair and balanced reporting?
