I'm so sick and tired of everytime the steelers lose a game they should have won----which in my opinion should be every one of them---- it seems Ben blames the lose on not enough of the no-huddle.

How many times a year does he complain about not enough no-huddle offense?

I just wish he'd learn the "rosetta stone" and make better decisions. A little more accuracy on those deep throws wouldn't hurt either!!!

so he should should just be ok with the loses and not want to try something different?

hes pissed that they are losing and i havent heard him say that none of its his fault. i think people are getting mad at Ben because they think hes not taking any of the blame. hes not happy with the play calling. thats all he said. i agree.

    24 of 40 339 yds and 2 TD's is rusty? Tough room.

Before you bring up the int, he only has 6 on the year. I know, he missed 3 games but even before that he was on pace to be among fewest int by QB's this season.

Ben should just shut up, eh?

I swear half the posters on this board are upset that Tomlin and the players don't flip out, destroy furniture, kick somebodys ass after a loss. But Ben shouldn't vent.

I don't know if you heard but he did take full responsibility for the loss. And I totally agree that he should have more no huddle!

I've heard alot. I heard his complaining about BA not being here, about Haleys rosetta stone playbook, about the team needs more no-huddle, which by the way has been a complaint of his for 5yrs. I heard him again complaining in the press about the play calling in the loss and how they need more no-huddle and when asked about the int in OT his response was, " it was a bad play". Maybe I missed it but instead of saying "I made a bad read and bad throw" he says " it was a bad play"....hhmm.

I have no issue with using the no-huddle as it is effective at times. No-0ne in their right mind thinks a 100% no-huddle is the best way to go except Ben. If he has an issue with the play calling keep it in house. If he has an issue with his OC then keep it in house. If he has an issue with losing then by all means say that and only speak to what your contribution to the lose was.

Ben throwing Haley under the bus to the media was completely ignorant and has very little chance of doing any good. I've always supported Ben on the field but that is something that needed to be kept in house. In that regard, Yes, Ben needs to just shut up.

    Direct quote:

"The play got called and they went to a prevent defense. So the play that got called wasn't a good play. At all."

Am I the only one who doesn't see this as a some sort of slight or tossing of Haley under the bus? Its obvious that the reason that the play wasn't a good play was because they went to a prevent defense.

It is unbelievable how the media wants to make something out of nothing and even more unbelievable how many Steelers fans are complicit in the whole thing.

And why are people ignoring the beginning of the interview when he said regarding the last play that "umm...called a good play, just didn't execute it...?"

Everybody loves a conspiracy so here goes. AB fumbled the ball. Oline gave up sacks with the game on the line. Running game has no game. Instead of talking about that, we're talking about Ben and Haley. Who are the leaders of this offense again? Aren't Ben and Haley the leaders? Does this pseudo controversy allow AB, the oline, and rb's lick their wounds and prepare for the next game while we're all distracted by the Ben-Haley show?

By Ben making those kind of statements and renewed calls for more no-huddle he fuels the media and keeps a QB/OC controversy going. He should know this by now. Just answer the questions with as much non-accusatory and/or less personal request regarding playcalling. This is where I'd wish he'd take a page out of the manning QBs book.

Ben has the ability to change any play at the line of scrimmage. When he says we it really is we concerning play calling. He wants total control and we all know it. Bradshaw called his own plays and Ben wants that too. In the no-huddle he has that. In the 2nd half Ben went 10-13 for 169yds and a score. These are GREAT numbers yet he complains to the media he wished they went no-huddle more.....WHY?

I personally don't think media should have access to these guys so fast, I don't have a problem with what he said but obviously some don't like it but this was right after an agonizing defeat, a loss he blames himself for no less.

As for Manning, he threw his whole offensive line under the bus after we beat them in the playoffs. Ben always has his teammates back, I'd rather have that then be the best political spokesman, especially right after games. JMO.

Ben is no leader, I'm talking about like Brady and Manning are. We need a take charge guy on the O and D lines. We just do not have that on this team.

Exactly! Manning said in a condescending way "I'm trying to be a good teammate here. Let's just say there were some problems in protection." Also how about when he said "our idiot kicker got liquored up and ran his mouth off".

I was also gonna put that but I was just talking about Manning. But you're right. He also didn't say "my idiot tight end Matt Spaeth that peed in a parking lot" either.
